So according to the novel, Shen Mo forgets Mr Ji and this moment in time when he fell down the stairs. Mr Ji founds out a couple months later that Shen Mo is in a worse state than before. Goes to him, offers to help, but Shen Mo is stubborn and doesn't want to accept it, hence Mr Ji comes up with the contract, so Shen Mo can offer something on return.
I don't think we will see that as of yet. I think we will jump forward to the second break up. Shen Mo finds himself, learns to paint with his left hand, opens a studio. Mr Ji goes abroad. Couple of years go by and than will they get back together? We will see. 🤗

Hmm I want to say 4 - 60-40 to Mr Ji. It is hard to explain but I have this feeling that Shen Mo is a survivor, will be alright but Mr Ji is just sheltered. He won't survive without Shen Mo.

I loved the acting, this episode broke my heart. Now we can fully understand Mr Ji’s resentment, coldness and sulking at the beginning of the series. Cannot wait for the next chapter.

Both supposed to be Mr Ji. He did not make the first call. I think they opted to this to suggests first calls ZY as he called him multiple times when he was kidnapped but never come to rescue him. I think they wanted to emphasise the shift.

That neck tattoo, man. I understand visually easier to film, but it would have been better on the arm or chest if anywhere.

Another great episode, I love the cinematography and the slow ‘happy’ episodes. Mr Ji do not give up! ♡

Yeah, while I like him and find his character very interesting - I think he is just as spoiled as Anan and very broken, just a child. fe the birthday, the car, sulking in the villa instead of going home to cuddle Shen Mo -I wouldn't mind shouting at him 'Get it together, Man' ,😆

Yeah, I get.it. That piece is quite frankly missing and not explained. I think in a way it is a bit of resentment. Mr Ji does everything to save Sehn Mo, why cannot he love him back? And he can only blame himself for it. Also co dependency, and healing is a long way ahead.
Worth to mention maybe that the writer added at the end of thr novel that first he was just writing Mr Ji as very basic, opponent kinda guy, did not think much of it. The character developed later. I hope I am explaining well. ,🤗

So after Shen Mo starts to remember, goes to try to find out the truth, but falls down some stairs and forgets again the last 6 months. Mr Ji months later finds out that Shen Mo can become homeless. He is in a worse state than after the first rescue. He visits him and offers help, but Shen Mo does not accept it. Because of this he comes up with the contract. Why does Shen Mo signs it or agrees to it? No idea to be fair. He is still dazed and confused. I guess he wants to give something return of the help? My theory is that subconsciously he recognising Mr Ji, and that he is his love.

He is trying his very best 🤣
