For me, Li Cheng is a really good match for him. He has many of the qualities I associate with Ren Jialunâbright, energetic, smart, passionate, and principled. Ren played him with a nice balance of warmth and determination, and he fit naturally alongside the more experienced officers.
Iâve watched many of Ren Jialunâs dramas, and Iâve never had trouble telling his characters apart. He gives each one a different feel instead of making them all seem like the same person. Iâve seen actors whose characters start blending together because they rely on the same mannerisms and expressions, but I donât get that feeling with him.
