After they came to the capital, GY is around 21 and CG is 14. Now if you are worried about stuffs like incest, you don't have to worry cuz even tho CG kinda started liking GY when he was a teen, he had a proper romantic endeavor with GY only after he crossed 20 yo and since he's an adult GY is not his 'yifu' anymore. While CG grew up, GY was mostly out, so CG's teen feelings for GY were kinda one sided you can say.

And regarding the father-son relationship it's kinda said in the novel how it isn't even a genuine father x son relationship. Chang Geng doesn't even consider Gu Yun to be a responsible elder figure. Gu Yun is just someone who took care of him, he's kinda like a cool elder brother figure to Chang Geng. Chang Geng calls him yifu solely based on formality becuz i remember the previous emperor on his death bed asked Gu Yun to take Chang Geng in as his 'adopted son'.
