Title Flex X Cop Spoiler
I loved the ride but the end was a little disappointing for me.
The brother was too much of an obvious k-drama plot twist and was a little ridiculous considering that the brother was barely a teenager when he committed his first murder (with premeditation) . Not saying this can't happen but a child plotting the murder of a grown adult he'd never met before and then carrying the body and staging it as a suicide requires some serious strengh, intent and lack of empathy, which wasn't really portrayed by the child actor for JSJ or even by aldult JSJ once he was cornered. He seemed like a desperate person who was programmed by his mother to do everything for power but not like a psychopath.
Happy about S2 though.

My first thought when i started this drama was "I really hope it's not the brother because it would be way to obvious, please let this man be a good brother in a chaebol family for ONCE in the history of kdramas". 🫠
Nevermind then...

I was thinking of dropping it already after watching 4 episodes but I stuck on because of what you said. And I'm…
I'm really glad my take was useful to you and happy you got to discover this drama !

Review Crush Spoiler
Totally agree. The ML was already hard to deal with and i was really waiting for the moment he would invest himself more and be considerate. Instead he became even more of an entitled and domineering character and the FL just complies with it. I don't get it . And the forced kiss was just too much for me.

Off topic. This is a question for Koreans, Why do Koreans drink so much alcohol? I know every country drinks alcohol,…
I'm not korean and I don't pretend to know everything about their culture so i can only share my understanding : i've been told that some asian cultures and especially the korean one, are very community oriented. They have lots of social gathering with friends, family and coworkers. And refusing to drink with collegues may cast you aside in your university/work environment. So drinking is like a mark of socialization over there, even when you're shy or introverted and even in an environement where you have to be polite and obey like the workplace, being drunk is a relief that pulls you closer to people.
But again, i may be wrong and if anyone knows better, please correct me.

I do have to say you are very right in most aspects, except, I found the romcom part very pleasing.
I think i was so into the rest of the storyline that i may have found the romance itself a little less original and therefore less eyecatching. But glad you enjoyed that part as well ! And thanks for the feedback :)

Right! Such abuses normally exist in making the kids feel guilty, demanding them to obey to the whims of the parents.…
All the kids have parents with major negative sides. Even Tan Can's and Mingyue's mothers get caught up in their obsession of social status even though they do love their children. And the fathers all pretty much checked out of the hurt and the education of their own children.
I think the show doesn't dismiss the importance of having a mother/parents, but it's more so a lesson for all parents to stop ignoring the pain they cause with the excuse of "it's the best for my kid" and to stop being selfish and caught up in their emotional turmoil.
I think the show highlights that having blood bonds and love isn't enough, parents have to know how to express that love to really form a family.

I like that they managed to represent emotional abuse through LX's mom. Abuse is often much more subtle than the drunk father beating up his family but It's rarely represented differently.

I think maybe it was when LX told her he'd wait for her and then gave her his hand . JJ took his hand and I took…
It did feel like she was progressing there but i didn't interpret it as a full shift in the relationship, but maybe you're right !

Ling Xiao's feelings for Jianjian have been very open from the beginning despite he hasn't gone around telling…
Whether the transition is fast or slow, i feel like the audience should be 100% part of it. I think JJ probably discovered that she was attracted to LX and couldn't put a name on it and she called LX "brother" by habit (as you said very well) but at the same time, she didn't seem to be clear about him being her boyfriend yet in ep25. Since she has a slower and more subtle development, I would have liked to see the whole internal struggle she went through to accept LX as a romantic partner, but instead she suddenly labels him as boyfriend in ep26. But maybe it's only a label and the feelings will be developed in other episodes

Yeah i totally agree but in ep26 she calls him "boyfriend" when she seemed still very confused in ep25, so i felt like the transition was made a bit rough for JJ. We can see that she's confused but we don't really get to see the whole introspective process of her establishing a new role for LX in her life

I can accept LX's love cause its always been there and i already have a hard time being okay with JJ potentially falling for LX but I absolutely refuse the fact that ZQ would ever get out of the brotherzone and have feelings for JJ. Im only on ep21 but i will quit if there's a love triangle ?

I feel the show will have a Season 3... because coming down to the end they revealed a lot more on Doctor K. And…
I really hope for a season 3 but honestly, now that they have doctor K, they will connect to sungjin group easily. So unless they want a whole new plot about corruption, I think they’ll get oh man sang in the last episode.

I'm also kinda bored. Did you finish it? How was the rest of the drama?
I’m answering a bit late ???? but yeah, I finished it. The story is still, in my opinion, boring , not fun and not well written. BUT the character development of the guy is amazing, and it’s the only reason i kept on watching :)
