have to say this drama made me want to pull out my hair sometimes when the scenes would get frustrating or make you wanna punch people. There were too many of those same scenes repeating, lies on top of lies, deceiving others, stealing, ambition blinding you, etc type of moments that it got tiring. have to say the evil characters made you hate them so much! They tied everything together and solved almost everything. There were a few things that i think were left out but it was insignificant. The chemistry between the main couple was amazing honestly I wish every couple could learn from them in this drama. I'm glad I didn't drop the drama in the first half. I was thinking of dropping it when I was in the 20's episodes but the romance and other scenes kept me through and the ending was nice! the clothing in this drama was so beautiful too
To begin, here are my conclusions concerning many of the unexplained elements of the show:There was an interview…
I was about to make a separate comment but I saw yours which pretty much explained most things so I will just put mine under xD. Some of the things that people were confused by I didn't really find as confusing. For example, the ending(some thought it was sad, and I was worried cause I read so many comments about its sad ending as I started the series, but its not really sad?)You explained the end well and that was one of my theories too. That perhaps Emma told Jin Woo about the instance dungeon. Because SeJu wasn't there to explain the instance dungeon(him and JinWoo never met). However, in the series I recall (unless I have bad memory) that the narrating voice that was Jin Woo's already told the story of what went on between Marco and SeJu and how Emma created a glitch in the game and how SeJu probably "hid" himself in the game. Jin Woo wasn't exactly sure how SeJu did it but I theorized that in return for completing the quest, Emma probably told him how he achieved the title of master as a reward and what he can probably do with it.
I also agree with your "murderous intent" theory. I was about to comment on the "physical contact" becoming the glitch. If Cha HyeongSuk and Jin Woo had a "friendly" duel with no murderous intent and physical contact then perhaps then Cha wouldn't die and become a bug along with Jin Woo. Remember how during their duel Jin Woo grabbed Cha's collar after Cha punched him and a message appeared about contact being prohibited? I think before physical "fights" like that was prohibited before too but the bug started because Marco used a physical real knife on Seju and it couldn't be stopped by the game because it was too sudden (?)and now after Marco's death and everyone else's, they reappear as a bug. I feel like Emma creating the glitch Emma should've taken responsibility for creating the bug herself.
As for Jin Woo still being alive, I expected that because unlike Jung Hoon, Prof Cha and his son who had corpses in the real world, Jin Woo didn't have that. Sure he got deleted from the game, but he was also stabbed and in a way by being killed by a NPC (Emma), but his corpse wasn't in the real realm (just like SeJu). So he couldn't have been dead.
I also love this drama very much. It played with my emotions and I have to admit that when I was watching it at night I just couldn't watch because they made Cha so terrifying and HyunBin being scared at the start also made me scared LOL and I just couldn't sleep. And I hated how they killed off Jung Hoon. It was so sad. I do agree that W was much less confusing and people had that ending between the female male lead. Here we don't see them reuniting but we know they will reunite since he's alive so there's that and he will eventually come to real world. Heeju's more of a support role for JinWoo and there's less romance which I don't mind I guess because the real problem is this game I was still hoping for something better in the end, but oh well. They didn't build the relationship much but I think it did come at an appropriate time because if they dated right in Granada, it would be too sudden. (I thought he'd kiss her while she was taking care of him before her birthday but nope he leaves her)
I still have a bunch of unanswered questions since I'm a technical person. This drama had a SAO feeling to it as well where people in game that die end up dying in real life. HOWEVER SAO did explain how the people died with the Nerve Gear, I really wished they had some sort of explanation as to how the people in the drama that died in game, how did it kill them in real life? For Cha, they said "internal bleeding maybe or loss of blood" and for Jung Hoon, a hemorrhage. It just doesn't make sense. I've been hearing stuff about real and game world colliding and it just be a fantasy element and I just hate that. There has to be something that causes the death of their real body because the wounds they received were from the game and in real life They had none of the wounds. Also, how did Jung Hoon's body end up somewhere else? I refuse to believe he just "fell" it took them a long time to find his body too? They also didn't explain how jin woo's limping. I understand that injuries heal in game as you level and that's why he was walking fine. They also showed in real life in hospital CCTV, he was limping but in game he wasn't. BUT THEN when he's chased by police officers it shows him running(from the game perspective-i guess?)but if he's limping in real life perspective HOW can the police officers not catch him? (Not like I want them to catch him) Also what I don't understand is if Marco stabbed Seju with a real knife. What were the people in the cafe doing? The real people didn't see Se ju with a stab wound when Marco used a real knife or heard his "AHHHH"? Is it because of glitch? Also your confusion on A person was mine too. I thought A would show up again but nope. I'm curious what instance dungeon JinWoo used though. Emma's gone so there can't be a key quest with her now? She reset the game probably keeping the instance dungeon feature after telling Jin Woo about it but the company didn't know about it. But then Yang Ju deletes Emma which means Jin Woo couldn't have made a quest with Emma to rescue him?
Edit: I feel like Yura should've been punished more, I hated her character so much. But at least she got what she deserved. And that Sang Beom character was just as annoying. Se Ju comes home and he's asking him bunch of questions like let the boy breathe.
it's not as bad as i thought it would be. I was worried cause of the comments but I enjoyed it(it was also funny sometimes). if you're here for good romance/chemistry then yeah i guess you won't enjoy it but I didn't really care about LJS&Suzy's Chemistry. I feel bad for Woo Tak though. His smile is amazing and it was so cute I felt so bad for him :|
[Spoiler] Although I think they could have wrapped things up differently. I don't understand why they had to kill off Investigator Choi for Yoo Beom to be arrested? Also they came up with that theory of having dreams of someone you owe to/want to repay. But neither Hong Joo or Jeong had dreams of Choi's death after he saved the two from the fire? Yoo Beom could've been arrested without his death.
im not a fan of the female lead either -she was less annoying in hwarang, but i loved the male lead in this drama that ending was complete crap. He erases his existence and never had people know about the wrong that was done to him? Okay, the step mom commits suicide but then he erases his existence like it never happened and ha ram lives differently. then does that mean his stepmother who killed him are now alive? since he erased his 'existence' . I feel sorry for the previous 444 that was ha ram's father. Grim Reapers can't love or live the way they want to? I'm sure if he told Ha Ram in the factory where she tells him she shot someone thinking it was her father's shadow, he could've told her that he was a Grim Reaper (&her father was one too) and he's also Joon & he's trying to figure out how he died. She may have felt guilty, but he could've told her he forgives her (someone said that below too) and all would be good. And then she lives a long life with some other man and has his kids and remembers Joon once she dies. And it's all over the place as well. They could've left it at Young Seok being the villain but they added that extra villain Choi Geun Ho at the last episode all of a sudden. She can't love a Grim Reaper or it wasn't possible so they waited till her death so they could be together.
i really loved the drama at the start then it started to drop down for me near the end. I also personally don't like the main female lead. I didn't like her in My Love From Star either. But in this drama I didn't dislike her as much. i dont mind the repetition of the past somewhat but I just found it less fun whenever they stopped doing the scamming business ;( but it's for the better. i found the villains annoying (chi hyeons mother especially) everything else was beautiful! i was tooken by surprise i expected chi hyeon to turn evil but i was also suspecting nam do-- turned out in the past he repaid dam ryeong and in present helped joon jae.
love it! kinda hated how they portrayed the lead female. only female lead too ! i knew there was something wrong about that prosecutor but when that episode 9 came i was believing it was oh gu tak since everything seemed to tie in but took me by surprise
It felt so all over the place. I had to watch for JCW&YSH, otherwise the king irritated me. so many things went on and it isn't till the last 2 episodes he finds out hong is his enemy?? also loved the scenes with chun&gwang taek and cho rip pissed me off too in the last episode suggesting Woon's death. Cried when woon was stabbed I was hoping he was still alive in the last 15 minutes and skipped through it but nope :( i felt it was unfair to woon he still helped them through certain situations. sure he messed up before but he deserved that chance. and it's not like he actually "killed" the crown prince he knew of the plot and just stayed quiet. chun did the killing really.
I didn't find it that bad compared to others. I 'm satisfied with the ending as well. All those corrupt people on that memory card would hopefully be arrested since Anna sent that email. And Se Joon, choi yoo jin, kwan soo, and sung won all died as well. I think that's a good ending. What is unreal is how Je Ha gets shot, wakes up in his weak condition, leaves when the bomb is turned on for 2 hours, and in 2 hours in his "weak" condition, he's getting the USB , saving Anna, took all those blows at construction site, drove back, found Anna and saved her again, then passed out. Wakes up in a few minutes then goes to save Anna again, gets shot again, and he's alive. I think a normal person would have bled to death? xD I don't mind the unrealistic/superhero part. I found it enjoyable for the action. I don't really care about the romance part. Although Anna was annoying sometimes. The actress for Yoo Jin was amazing though.
So many people were hyped about this drama so I finally watched it. I loved the interactions between Kim Shin/Goblin and the Grim Reaper. Their bromance was funny and amazing to watch. That's one of the things that kept me to continue this drama. I wanted to drop it cause of the female lead. I just had to mute every crying scene for her (sometimes the chemistry between her and the Goblin didn't feel real. At the start she's the typical "Cinderella" type of character, but whenever she asked Kim Shin for money, it felt like she loved him for money. I could feel the romance between them towards the end tbh. In the start, when she told him I love you in Quebec it didn't seem like she actually loved him or anything. Felt like a child telling someone that's grown up that they love them because they're some sort of role model or has helped them through tough times) and I understand that she's playing a role of a teenager and had to act immature sometimes but it just made me want to drop the drama. I have to admit though I did feel like crying from Ep 14 to the end. It was a "happy ending" but a part of me just wanted to have my curiosity satisfied like.. Snowfall happens every year, no? Why choose after 9 years she suddenly decides to blow a candle on the first snowfall? Or was it like it had to be 9 years later because she had to die soon (according to the Reaper that's when people die the most since it's close to 10). Kinda sad towards the end Kim Shin was alone and the reincarnation of Sunny&the Reaper didn't recognize him or befriend him[I guess that's for the best since if they remembered their past lives then his punishment wouldn't be over]. And when Eun Tak reappeared again towards the end, most people were angered how she came back as a mortal and Shin would have to suffer again cause him being immortal. It was sort of an open ending [she said that was her first life and now she appeared the second time towards the end. Is she going to appear twice more as a mortal? Then what? She won't appear again and Shin's all lonely again? I didn't expect the plot twists at the end though. I figured out the reaper and Sunny were the king and queen in their past lives as soon as they first met with that ring and he started to cry too. But did not expect that deok hwa would get his body controlled by the deity like that. I thought him and that lady had something going on whenever they asked another for a drink but then it was explained they were both deities (when deok hwa was possessed) Although I'm pretty upset that they didn't show Deok Hwa regaining his memories of Kim Shin or Eun Tak. He didnt remember at all. If they showed an aging Secretary Kim, then there must have been an aging Deok Hwa to help Kim Shin or his grandkids or something
I watched for Lee Jong suk. The female lead had me to annoyed with her crying. I had to skip scenes with her crying mostly, but the romance between her and him was the only thing keeping me going. I'm not upset that her father disappeared at all. I was irritated when he told Chul he was a set-up and he made Chul the way he is. But then he tried to make up for it. I just found it funny with So Bong whenever he screamed and when Jeon Yoo's father had no face. The only time I jumped was when he suddenly grabbed her hand while she was drawing. I'm glad they somewhat cleanly tied up Chul's situation in the W world by freeing him of those charges.
