I get what you mean. I felt the same. The same happened to me. Like I was pretty confident and popular during middle school, and then it all started going downhill. The way she keeps lowering herself and gives that irritating self-depreciating laugh, it reminded me so much about myself.
But then I saw Akari's logic. And I can honestly say that it impacted me a lot. The comparison to market price... That was really brilliant, and I've been trying to change.
So yeah, reading your comment made me feel better about myself.

After Bungaku Shojo, I was so sure that I wanted Hongyo's character and Terada's to end up together.
And yet, Hase is now making me ship him too.
I still like Hongyo, and this is a manga so they'll definitely end up together.
And yet, I can't help but want to root for him, even though it's never going to happen. Hase started out by being a abominable jerk in all sense. His attitude towards Terada was very disgusting.
So why is it that he has ended up swaying hearts?????????
