He didn't hear her because the fireworks was super loud when he told her he likes her also he was relief that he said all those things out but I'm pretty sure he knows that she didn't hear him.
But you have to keep in mind that this has 48 episode.
She is slowly developing feelings for him for sure, at episode 16, around that episode she asked herself what's the feeling. Like, Shan Cai you like him. Also in a different episode when she heard that Asi was transferring to a school in London and she was feeling depressed, it just that Shan Cai doesn't want to admit that she has feelings for him, since in the beginning of the drama he had bullied her and why would she fall for someone who's being mean to her in the beginning . She clearly made a excuse "I just can't accept the fact."
guuys, I am at ep4 and he just secxually assaulted her .... I don't know if I can do this. it's a major red flag.…

I understand what you mean that, for me watching that was also uncomfortable but later on the drama his behavior changes drastically. Because his family is usually at work they don't have time to spend with him , so I guess he doesn't really know how to act when he finds out that Shan Cai has a crush on his best friend (Lei). So, maybe it because he's wasn't really taught well? But, I've heard that this version is cleaner than the original Taiwanese drama.
Also what do you mean "if is a similar scene from the male lead after that"?
Really? From what I read in the Chinese sites ist not doing so well in China. The show had a 2.9 of 10 rating.…
I don't really understand how it the ratings declined to 2.7, but thinking about it It doesn't matter what they think since I live in United States. A least I enjoyed the drama. That's all it counts.

I was like "SHAN CAI WHAT THE HECK" That moment i found out Si was standing right behind Them. Then I was like "Caught" But I'm screaming inside, why would Lei Kissed her, when he literally knew that Si was serious with her? But I didn't stay mad at Lei cause hes way too adorable.
I've been seeing that someone people didn't enjoy the drama so far. Also, I would appreciate if people don't compare the thai drama between this drama. For me, I didn't watch Boys Over Flowers Before or the original Meteor Garden. But for the director it was a huge risk to put a drama that has been released 10 years ago and still make the drama better. What wrong to have the drama to be different, I mean because it different it unique from other adaptions Honestly this is just my thought. This is why I enjoy the drama.... Well, for me I did the drama also has a hint of humor especially with Dao Ming Si. What makes it even better is Shen Yue and his off set chemistry like Please just date already? Sorry I got off topic, so far the drama is enjoyable. :) Mentioning the drama with Lei and Asi, not that I want their relationship to tear apart or anything.
