Role of men? This is exactly what I am talking about lol. So role of men is supposed to be dominant and aggressive and arrogant and rich? cuz women are "different"? Babe ...what difference are you talking about in men and women? Why cant a woman be cold and arrogant and powerful and smart? the only difference I feel in men and women is bodily. There is no other difference. So there is no specific "role of men" that a woman is taking. She is just being her unique self. I am not "asking" for the dramas ..my life doesn't depend upon them....I am saying we need to neutralize these roles. You are arguing on the wrong topic. For no specific reason. Thats not how we talk or write academically. Be it heirs or boys over flowers or business proposal...women are always poor, has sad struggling life and are never glorified like men are. They are shown desirable, rich, bad guy type, arrogant, can do whatever they want, cocky and forces women leads to do whatever they want without asking their opinion. (tell me if I am wrong) All the characteristics are in common. Women never have their own opinions. They are forced in a situation one way or another. I have major problems with plots like these. Because women are objectified by such patriarchal plots. Name one clichéd drama that is popular and has women lead character as rich, cocky and not portrayed as stupid and silly whereas male lead is poor and clumsy and pathetic. I doubt there is one and got popular. Cuz people dont like seeing such women in power, desired. They like seeing damsel in distress type women, chauvinistically saved by patronizing male lead. All they focus on is male lead's killer looks, his actions and the way he is glorified. So yeah. I detest such plots that try to overpower women. (even if its for entertainment purposes and for fun ..women are not meant to be depicted this way all the time).

Trust me. I love cliche stuff too. But when I start thinking about it critically....I just cant tolerate who they show women. It takes all the fun away 😭😭😭. The only thing I am loving rn is the girls friendship. Thats the high light for me. Honestly...academic writing took the fun of watching movies just for fun's sake away. 😭 They have bittersweet taste now. Its sweet but bitter.

Statistically speaking, 78% of stories show male as a godly figure, enchanting everyone and female as an ordinary, clumsy person. I was speaking about this angle. Obviously what you said is different perspective but I wasn't touching that topic. I was speaking from a feminist's perspective. Critiquing this side of the plot.

Its pathetic actually. How dramas like this show the male lead as some sort of God that needs to be worshipped by women cuz they just look good with stinky personality and female leads are depicted as a pathetic woman who has one sided love and is often looked down upon by everyone, not to mention she's never rich whereas the male lead is super rich.

Dudeeeeee..... just began watching. Man this is crazy. I finished ep 2 and I am like ....how?!!! I mean ...are both the guys consciousnesses of one person?!

It was somehow necessary to push the main female lead to avenge the evil guy. Loss of someone who understood her pain. That too right in front of her. She lost someone she found physical and mental solace in by the same guy who killed her father and deceived her. You see? It made her back story stronger.

This drama is inspiring me to learn boxing and get some bruise makeup cuz it looks damn hot. 😂💀

Because the drama wasn't about their chemistry. Infact the love angle was not necessary at all. It is just to show the two lost souls finding solace and freedom in each other for a moment.

I loved sweet home though. Even wrote an academic paper on it. Season 2 is gonna come out soon!!! Cant wait. Also finished happiness. It was amazing man. I was hooked from the beginning. And the chemistry of main leads was super compatible

Not going to over analyse it. Just two words. Loved it! Throughout. It was very entertaining. And chemistry of Yoon Sae Bom and Yi Hyun ....super compatible and perfect.

BTW...10th episode of Happiness....man I cant wait for the climax really!!!!!
