Finished! I really liked this drama, especially because of Ashile Sun. Leo Wu really took this drama to another level. I do feel like towards the end the plot was a bit lost, but the good acting made-up for it.
Dilraba did a good job, but her character was super frustrating sometimes... if it was not her playing the character I might not have endured. Zhao Lu Si was another highlight. Her and Ha Dou's progression of their relationship was just the sweetest thing. This was my 1st drama with her & she did amazing. I cannot wait to watch more stuff with her. Then, I really love She'er... I felt so sorry for him bc he has been lied to & used his whole life. He really has such a sweet and innocent heart. Last, the acting of the Emperor was so top-tier... he expresses his self so well.
Finished! I feel like there were like 6 different plots going on in this drama as Fuyao & Wuji go on MANY crazy adventures and gain a wholesome and loyal friends group! I really love the friendship and the love between the leads in this drama. EVERY. SINGLE. ACTOR. BROUGHT THEIR A GAME!!! Just some GREAT acting all around. I give this a 9.5/10 because I feel like towards the end the drama kind of slipped up plot-wise.
I came here too while waiting for new NWAB episodes. How does this compare to that?
They are similar in the sense that the FL is older than ML and both younger ML are head over heels for her characters and have to persuade her into a relationship. Both FLs are super stubborn and have super important positions in the company's they work for... also both FLs were in a previous relationship that affects their present life. BUT, I just think she has WAY MORE chemistry and a believable love with Ki Yong instead of Bo Gum.
I feel like I am tearing up with every episode... the acting in here is phenomenal and Jang Ki Yong really is killing it. I just want his character to be happy... he is too selfless... always worrying about others.
Almost dropped this after the 1st episode, but glad I did not bc I a a great time with this drama bc it is one of the cutest and funniest dramas out there. The leads and the supporting cast were so amazing acting-wise and had great comedic timing! The lead couple were adorable and hot at the same time with some of the best kisses in KDRAMALAND, but I expect no less bc it is Park Seo Hoon we are talking about here. REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE!! 8.5/10
Finally finished this! I decided to give it another chance since I am currently watching Now, We Are Breaking Up... and that has a similar vibe to it.
Although I am a big fan of Bo Gum & Hye Kyo is one of my favorite K-Actresses, I was not sold on their love story. Yes, they had their cute moments and hot kisses, but it felt kind of meh to me. I will admit the last two eps were really good and their love seemed more believable in these episodes!
I, actually, enjoyed the love development with the second leads Dae Chan & Mi Jin way more... which is rare for me bc the main lead couples usually always have a hold on me.
I give this a 6.5/10 because the acting and OSTs were good, but not really my cup of tea.
The chemistry between Song Hye Kyo & Jang Ki Yong is seriously out-of-this world. And, when Hye Kyo cried, I was tearing up right along with her. She did that scene so well! Next Fri and Sat cannot come fast enough
I am curious to see how her and the lead are going to be together after what happen in ep 15... when she finds out what he was responsible for she is going to be super pissed!!
