Not really, trust me and give it a try. Its better than any other BL I've watched which consisted of a lot of kissing etc. The male leads here do end up together and not even death separates them, you'll like it trust me. Start watching it for the overall story, not just the romance, and you'll like the overall story. Its a masterpiece, that's why its ranked as #1 on MDL

Its fantasy, wuxia, historical and of course BL but censored romance kinda BL so no kissing or being direct about it, more like soulmates (since it'd be banned if the BL was obvious, it tries to pass as bromance even tho its more romantic than just bromance)
