I absolutely agree - feelings can't be forced and if he really doesn't like her that way nothing can be done. I just really don't want MJ to get hurt 😢
But I kinda got the feeling from Xiao Gu so far that he hasn't really opened himself for any other option than Nan Nan so he hasn't seen the possibilities yet. But I wonder if that's because he finds nobody but Nan Nan attractive or because he's just that straightforward of a guy not looking left or right...
But at the end it's true - we just want them to be happy 😊

Goodness Xiao Gu frustrated me to another level today. I mean I get it that his feelings for NanNan are still stronger than for MJ but - at this point I almost feel sorry for him cause right now he's kinda embarrassing himself? And the teaser for next week shows more scenes for MJ x Xiao Gu - but he keeps mentioning that Hu Wei is love and MJ is friendship... what is he doing? On my knees right now hoping for some improvement now that Hu Wei isn't on the island. MJ stay strong!!
She does seem pretty into him because while Fu Jie rejected her once she already wanted to move on but with Xiao Gu it seems she doesn't want to stay away yet.

And it seems like Wan Fei realized now that Tao Zhi is back she kinda already got over him? She's definitely closer to Fu Jie now and developed some feelings for him.

Jinyi is still pretty upset though :( I think the dance softened her up a bit already but they really need that promised talk. People are super frustrated with Daniel right now but like he mentioned - he seems to have a hard time expressing himself because his Chinese is hella rusty... but he really really needs to explain cause Jinyi is ready to try other directions.

With the upcoming episode it seems there will be some drama coming up for our Enya x Guo Xu couple :( not ready to see them genuinely upset yet...

And Shangru x Hu Wei - well, it's safe to say they're set? They're just getting sweeter and sweeter with each episode!

Can't wait to see how the dynamics will shift now that he's back. But it's adorable how all the guys welcomed him back 😄

So true - Meng Jia is probably my favorite female contestant because she is what I can only hope to be one day - smart, pretty, confident, talented, athletic, ...
I have no idea why none of the boys have run after her yet :(( but to be fair, we're not yet 1/2 way in so things can still change! I'm really hoping that Gu opens his eyes and his heart to someone other than NanNan because I can totally see Xiao Gu and Meng Jia suiting each other pretty well <3

I'm super tired of this love triangle as well! It's plenty obvious that Hu Wei and Jiang Shangru have had really solid interactions so far and when all three of them are together Xiao Gu turns very passive often just quietly listening and not really taking part in the conversation. I am genuinely hoping this outside date will serve as closure to him so he can open his heart to someone else... and hopefully she outright rejects him because I don't think there's any other way for him to give up.
I really shouldn't have started shipping Xiao Gu and Meng Jia because I'm just setting myself up for heartbreak 🫠

I guess because he's been in love with her for so long? 😔 So that when Hong Ah changed her mind after she almost lost him to Soo Jung (she did get jealous a lot but it felt more like someone taking her favorite toy?) he caved in. This was the one thing that disappointed me a lot in this show 🤦‍♀️

I generally thought this drama was pretty good - sure at times I skipped a few minutes, typically me - and the cast was impressive as well. The one thing I can't get over though was that Won Joon ended up with Hong Ah when he could have had Soo Jung...
