You are missing out. It is about friendship and mentor and mentee relationship and female power and how hard work gets you . It is about perseverance even if you fail multiple times but you get up and try again. Solid plot and dialogue. Getting tired of all the fluff plot from other drama out there. I can see why it was out in CCTV. Only if youku valued it as much as us and gave us subs in their international platform

Yes. Jing knows since he is a nine tail fox and can see through transformation- he knows she is girl. He does not know that she cannot remember her true form although she knows she is girl. More will revealed in upcoming episodes since show follows novel very well for most part
