I think it’s because with BL we’re used to a happy ending/resolution. This however not typical BL, it’s somewhat crossed over into being a form of art ESP in the last episode, and ESP in the last few minutes of it. the meaning takes deeper thought as it isn’t on the surface. It’s a lot of implication, it’s open, but also provides closure as well. Karl wasn’t ready to come out, Vlad was no longer willing to hide. Anna encourages Karl to explore life beyond the shelter of their apartment, behind closed doors, the only place their romance was allowed to live. The implication is, how can you ever learn to accept yourself if you can’t even go into the world at all? so i see the ending as a compromise. I imagine the conversation between them was, (Karl) hey, I’m not ready to be out, but i do want to work towards it, so let’s start hanging out as friends outside of these walls, if you can be patient with me. (Vlad) i understand what you’re going though and as your friend first I’ll do anything to help you. You see this represented at the end when they go to the film/school orientation together. They aren’t together, but they’re not done either. Just my interpretation.

I am happy to see real stories. Ones that are deep and thought provoking. Different. Beautiful.

Totally agree! And praying for my Brothers and sisters in the Philippines! I was sad that all shows are on hold, because since quarantine started, they’ve been giving Thailand a run for their BL money, but when I realized what’s going on out there, I just pray for them!

Sincere question from a huge fan of this genre. Please don’t be offended, I just want to learn. From what I gather, isn’t BL specifically for these types of relationships? Where one or both don’t identify as gay? On Gagaoolala (not sure if you use this website) it is it’s own category, and gay dramas are labeled separately. Just curious....makes no difference either way I love and support it all.

Production is just...eh...but the storyline in the trailer was a seller for me, so I can’t help but follow along to see how we end up there! ?

me too! Sometimes people don't realize how very very important it is that we pay attention to how we're feeling mentally. Im sad to miss the episode, but happy he was able to take the time he needed. We will live.

Thank you for this treat! I finished the series days ago now and it’s still sticking with me. The mark of excellent story telling. I don’t know why i put it off so long! I actually have realized that I prefer how it was portrayed because they had to invoke emotions rather than fan service. That’s deeper.

Went into this wanting to feed my Bl cravings, but kept putting it off because it is censored, however I took a chance on it this week and have hardly gotten any sleep trying to finish. 50 episodes may seem daunting, but by the end you’ll wish it had 50! Though i came for the “romance“ and it is extremely subtle, but present, and adds to the story beautifully, the story itself is what is addicting! Heartbreak, injustice, humor, beautiful lead actor, what more can you ask for? I do have a problem after watching though. Usually when i fall in. Love with a drama, i have to find something similar after to help cope with the loss while continuing on with all the feeeels. I have yet to find this. Help!

Right! At first I wasn’t sure how I would like the whole no contact aspect, but since there was nothing new out, i figured why not? However Hello Stranger and Gameboys are both written so well, that part is no bother at all for me! It’s exciting anticipating the actual meetings, and cool how relevant the concepts are. The first episode of ‘My Day’ came out last week. It’s a regular show (not webcam based) and a full hour. Def has great potential, I’m excited to see the next episode. Another one I just discovered that’s pretty ok is called “in Between”. I’m totally jealous of all of the content you have ahead of you right now! LOL

It’s terrible but also addicting. I’ve watched it 3 times and everytime they have to leave little No Ri at the hospital ? *heavy sobs*
