I'm at episode 4 and i really hate the mother. The more i think about it, the more i feel like she is the root of the problem. Does their child have to be an athlete?
Had she was able to be there for Lee Gun after he lost the tournament, Lee Gun might be able to let go the past and continue his life. He was really young, he could start any other thing. He could be a businessman, doctor, teacher, chef, etc. Orr he could even continue tennis. Many athlete had some kind of injury. Why she trow away her son like that??
Also the way she treat Lee sin is really woww, did she even consider Lee sin as her son?? Or did she just see Lee sin as a tool to achieved her dream cause she was a failed athlete??
Episode 8 triggered me so many times :") did the writer experience these cases by herself or what? How can the storyline be so on point?
Btw many mentioned about "how could the father did that with the mistress in the room next door" those who work around divorce area will know that this is actually quite common. Some parents somehow think that their young child will not understand.

It took me years and countless rewatch to finally understand the back and forth timeline. Why they did what they did. How can things changes the way it changed. I love this drama, I love the fact that this is such an ambitious project with the best cast and crew they could possible have. I love the effort they put into this project. However, I also understand that many might find it hard to like it. The king eternal monarch surely not an easy drama to enjoy. But even so, I highly recommend those who haven't watch it to watch the drama at least once. You can decide yourself just how high quality the drama is.
I don't understand why so many people find the series unlikeable. I love it soo muchh. I guess it's a "hit or miss" type of story?? For me the storyline is definitely something that I will remember for a long time.
I just finished rewatching the drama. When I first watch it years ago, I did agreed that Yoo Jung was bad, but I didn't understand just how bad he was. Now that I'm older, I can finally see the details. The way he calculate people and making move while also make sure himself clean. To the point that he make those who questioning him looks like a liar/crazy. What the hell??

I just finished rewatching the drama and couldn't help but appreciate the drama even more. The storyline, cinematography, and ost jezzzz. How they depicted the playfulness of their younger life and as they got older it slowly become lonely, cold, and heavy.
I agree with the comments below, seriously i got goosebumps reading their real life story. King Jeongjo truly love Uibin. I think this is the first time ever i heard about real king of joseon write "I love you" for anyone.
I have been watching 2d1n since season 3. Then burning sun case causing the program to be stopped. I love the S3 cast that is why when the news of season 4 came out I was reluctant to watch 2d1n because I missed the S3 member so much.
After 3 episode was released, I decided to give it a try and immediately fall in love with S4. Anyone can see that the S4 member and crew was trying so hard for the program. They gave their all for every single episode, as if that was going to be their last episode. I understand them, because back then 2d1n S4 was just a temporary contract program that could be stopped at any time. Around the first 50 episode I always check the rating of the program anxiously. Afraid that they might stopped the program if it doesn't do well. Later I realized that turns out the member also do the same LOL.
I literally grew watching the program. The member also grew from it. All of the member (beside kim jong min) was someone who is either not so well known, or have been absent from the industry for quite some time. But through 2d1n and obviously working sooo sooo hard, every single one of them manage to stand their ground in the industry, Dindin and Moon se yoon joining any kind of project that they can (variety show, song, movie, drama) sometimes I even wondered how in the world are they not getting sick after that packed schedules? Kim Seon Ho getting his name known through kdrama "start up". When he was working in the project (before it was released) he posted a picture in his ig account, I remember commenting on wishing him the success through that project. How shocked I was when suddenly one of my friend mentioned his name LOL apparently that project was not only a success for him but a hugee hugee success. Yeon Jung hoon and kim jong min also manage to maintain or even elevating their popularity.
Then Kim Seon Ho case came out to light, seriously I still remember that feeling in the car when I saw the news of Kim Seon Ho admitting about the case. My head went blank for a second "what happened to 2d1n now? Is this going to be another burning sun case? Does 2d1n going to be stopped?" Thankfully it's not, but the weird thing is not long after Kim Seon Ho case, suddenly ravi left the program together with the PD and the writer. The reason for ravi was because he was preparing for enlistment, while the reason for the PD and the writer was because of health issue?? To be honest it was weird, maybe it was just my feeling but something feels off.
Then about 1 year after that, suddenly there was news of ravi using an agent to lessen his enlistment. So this is just my conspiracy but what if, When Kim Seon Ho case came out, some reporter give information to the KBS about ravi case, KBS burry the information because they can't afford 2 case at the same time. In the result, Ravi had to leave the program, and the PD and writter take the responsibility by also leaving the program? Obviously this is just my conspiracy. Maybe they really leave the program for personal reason.
Anyway then Na in Woo joining the program and LMAO do you guys remember when Na In Woo miss the meeting point and ended up walking for hours and had to be picked up LOL. I'm still laughing even until now. Oh then Yoon Seon Ho joining the program and he was chased all over the village. The member was very curious on who is going to be their new member.
The reason why I write such a long story is because I feel like things about to change. Do you guys remember the note that says they are so thankful about the existent 2d1n "Because there is 2d1n in the weekend, let's hold on another week." I kinda relate to this fan note. No matter how physically and mentally exhausted I am with everything that is going on in my life. In the weekend, everything is going to be the same. I'm gonna laugh again so let's hold on another week. The program has become my company for so many years, and I am so grateful for that.
2D1N S4 has always been an intimate program, the original member was very close to each other like true brothers. Because they literally survive together (obviously with the crew as well). They built 2D1N again from the lowest possible situation and they built their career a little bit by a little bit. Even when Na in woo or Yoon seon ho joining the program, I always have the feeling that 2d1n is going to be the same. A program where brothers have fun together on the weekend. But now ... I have the feeling that 2d1n is going to be just a program. A work, a job .... maybe this is just my feeling. I really wish it's just my feelings. Either way I wish the best for all the member and crew. I hope the new member will find 2d1n as special as the previous member and the fans find them.
Is this story true? If so why Chat Tat Kat deliberately approaching the journalist? The journalist already on the rock bottom anyway. Even without Chat Tat Kat he will not do anything to Manjun, he just want to be reinstated.
Also if this is true there is no way "Manjun" let the movie released ??? And these actors too, aren't they afraid that this kind of story will affecting their career?
