Personally, I loved it, and also the opportunity to watch it legally which it's something I can barely do just because down here there aren't many opportunities to watch Japanese movies and dramas so thank you NETFLIX!!! It was a good movie, I wasn't expecting the ending and call me hormonal but I spill a tear o two at the end. and the cat is also a great actor ;)
Yes. Your intuition is right about this. From now on as well, Hira idolization of Kiyoi will really block a lot…
I'd love to have the possibility to read the novel! That would help me understand them a lot more and beside let's be real only on paper you can really see the depth of the characters

I think that there is also Hira's self-esteem, that doesn't allow him to think that Kiyoi will ever look at him with loving eyes.... I don't have access to the novel or the audio, just an impression of Hira's personality
I thought that at least we would have 10 episodes I am not ready for 9 to be the last one, and on top of everything no new episode next week... The idea of today of talking and tearing down walls so people can stop being prejudiced against someone different and accepting them, it's just a wonderful and ideal thing
I know what Higashide did to his family, but it's still one of the only opportunities that I have to watch a Japanese movie legally, It isn't that often that Netflix brings them to where I live.
At first, I couldn't find it. I had to search Oguri's name, where I live Japanese dramas are the least advertised by Netflix, but it was there. I am really excited that I can legally watch it.
