It was fun. Kind of an Ocean’s 11 meets Indiana Jones meets a less intense Taxi Driver. However I think I’ve become a little too spoiled by dramas and the amount of time they allow for development of characters and relationships and plot pay off. Just a little too surfacey and predictable; I didn’t feel an emotional investment in what they were doing. I will say that everyone did an amazing job with what they were given though. The acting was fantastic.
I will admit I watched this right after I finished the second season of Taxi Driver, so my expectations for the “teammance” may have been a little too high.
Whew. Just made it though episode 11. I love Sung Joon, and I loved Im Ji Yeon in Welcome 2 Life, but I think there’s been one too many red flags for me to continue this drama. Especially with the ep. 12 preview. 🙄 The cheating, baggagey start to their relationship, the relationships that have been broken, the lack of character growth and maturity…I’m having a hard time cheering the main couple on. So I think I’ll take several hours of my life back and stop now. Such a bummer, I really wanted to like this one. 💔
How many times has Do-il saved In-joo so far? He's so protective. And people are still doubting him. It wouldn't…
Agreed. I don’t think he would go to all that trouble to save his mom, rescue In Hye, rescue In Joo, create a such a complicated plan to out the baddies (also saving his dad) only to turn out to be a giant turd.
You're so right, what started as the sisters behaving in what seemed a plausible way, has become incomprehensible,…
I kinda have to disagree. Ep. 9 seems to indicate In Kyung would have played a part in this story regardless. Her connection to her great-aunt and the fact that her boss was grooming her to become part of the Jeongran Society. Probably under orders from Sang A whose been messing with In Joo for apparently YEARS, and is now messing with her sisters? So Sang A probably targeted In Hye on purpose as well, and has orchestrated all of the sisters' involvement. I don't think it's mere coincidence that each of the sisters are involved in this whole thing.

While In-Kyung can be frustrating, she is rather faithful to Jo in the original. A little hot-headed, a little act first think later. Also, they’ve been thrown into this cat ‘n mouse game and they’ve never had to live this way like the other players in this drama—calculating their every move so carefully. I mean, it makes sense to me that they’d overplay their hand and maybe not respond as strategically as everyone else. They are normal people who’ve been thrust into a very strange and dangerous situation, just trying to survive the best they can.
But still, In-Kyung, surely you have access to a copier? 🤦♀️ lol
I need another drama like this one: fantastic ensemble, interesting thriller with just the slightest hint of romance. Train is another one that I like that has a lot of these elements. Any other recs?
Agreed. Fantastic build-up that unfortunately didn't follow through to the end. Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young were amazing with what they were given. I'll fully admit that Lee Soo Hyuk was the main reason I watched though.

Super excited for his new single to release next week.
