LMAO I have same exact thought lolll. But ukw whole contract was in English which I think was on purpose so that…
I mean that is precisely the reason why they need mentors and incubators. One of the benefits is to have solid legal advisers on the team. In English? Sure, but before the contract is translated into Korean and agreed upon, no one could force them to sign anything. Also they got investment from In Jae's step father, unless it is a donation, it would definitely take time to resolve the ownership structure.
The actual signing should just be a matter of formality, nowadays, it could be done online even.
The amount of absurdity in that scene is just surreal.
The story had failed so remarkably with a FL who aspires to be next Jobs/Zuckerberg and is supposed to be the center of the story line, now turns into a human prize to be won by two male leads...
And BTW as the CEO, she didn't read the contracts before signing them.
This is just hilariously ironic, almost feeling the writer is purposefully showing that she is NO CEO material lmao.
The plot is getting pretty boring and non-eventful, to the point I am not concerned with the characters anymore. The writer had not given any other characters meaning growth except the love triangle plus grandma. What is the point of In Jae and her mom? I feel so confused seeing them appear and do something irrelevant. Is this a vlog or mukbang? I thought i would stop watching last week, but i bailed cause the lie stuff is going to be uncovered this week. But seriously, the writer really didnt have anything to fill the script except those dramaless interactions between the leads? To the point the Samsantech seems more like a self-driving company because it constantly drives itself ?
I started watching this because the plotline felt refreshing ... but I now feel.. stressed as the plot made progress.…
Well said. The writer had been laser focused on chilling out drama around the letters with lies from everyone around the FL. But I can't help thinking this is doing more harm to both ML/FL's characterization and collaterally their relationship as it drags on.
First and foremost, it makes the interaction between FL/ML really ... effortless? As NDS is her first love and now core business partner, she trusted him unconditionally with all her shares and everything. So as a viewer, this really doesn't give me a sense of growth/development of their relationship from there. It doesn't feel it is earned, the payoff isn't there. Thus no drama.
Then when it comes to individual characterization, really can't help but feeling FL is being constantly lied thus protected from reality by everyone around her. She lives quite literally in a bubble, when two NDSs, past/present offering her support on both business and technology. Can't see how this could contribute to make her a believable female Steve Jobs. When it comes to the ML, the plot should have offered more for his attachment to live on beyond coincidence and appearance, with a not so strong FL that doesn't seem to come to fruition yet.
The last 2 eps aren't really that good TBH, story at this point should be focused more on the sandbox side of things, and the competition between FL and her sister in a strategic way, even it is romanticized and dramatized like they did in EP5. One thing I noticed is that Alex barely appears in recent episodes, and 2nd FL doesn't give any opportunity to demonstrate her shady tactics in a meaningful way.
Didn't feel this drama has any interesting momentum moving forward, except resolving around the love triangle and lies. Put my watch on hold after ep7 for now, may check back once those lies are revealed.
Feeling like a wasted potential really. It names itself as start-up, however that part of story is underdeveloped and only serves as backdrop for the love and family drama to take place.
So far the characters are mostly likable but still stereotypical, they dont get many chances to surprise me, hopefully they will have more interesting interactions later.
This is starting to get extremely messed up. Idk why but I really don't like Dal Mi. Also, I really hate the 2…
Dal Mi's character seems really weird to me as well. I think the writer tries to make her character hard-working and motivating, but...I couldn't feel that all she had is good luck and affection from two MLs.
This drama almost a barbie doll drama. Slow-motion forced meetups and entries, Lighting and everyone stunned.…
Actually quite close to my thought as well. I am not expecting the writer to produce some realistic social commentary on the startup and tech world TBH, but I couldnt help feeling the opposite. The writer just cant wait to get over the thin layer of shining packing and start pouring the Kdrama troupes over us, which seems precisely the actual story the writer want to tell.
How would chinese speakers translate "我疼你" (wo teng ni)? Which JJ quietly said to Lx while he was sleeping…
'I cherish you' is probably better, but still not quite there, for it feels too formal. Avoiding being too reductionist, 我疼你 means 'I will offer you my support when you get hurt, shielding/healing you from pain'. Sounds cheesy, but is more accurate. Thinking of it as something a much older person way say to a younger person in a parental way. LOL
