Coming from someone who didn't even watch a bit of the show, even if you disagree with someone's comment, you do not call them a "kid". To be honest faye's review about this show is way more reliable simply because they communicated their opinion clearly and maturely.

Yes Masato does have a personality & puts in effort but what about all the other trainees? Do you think people like Li Zi Hao would have gotten as much screentime as Masato if he wasn't that funny and excentric? No, he wouldn't.

The production team evalued Masato by his talent but also by his facecard, and bet on it. He was among the contestants who got the most screentime early on, exactly because he is pleasing to look at. Same with Liyu. why do you think they showed him sitting alone with only one other contestant? Because they knew that he was serving face and people wanted to see him more. So the attention was on both of them before the song contest and during to gather interest from viewer's (that are new to this show) early on.

I am not downplaying on both contestantss' talents. They do have it!! But I wish you would approach this situation a bit more maturely and rationally. It's called an unconscious bias because of a reason. There is nothing wrong to vote for a nice face. That matters for idols since they have to pull off concepts but please weigh their talent equally. Are they able to pull of nice expressions while on stage or do they just perform with their body? A silent facecard is worth nothing.

I think it's a traditional thing at this point to always air during december-february. I can imagine that there is a reason to it as well. Maybe people tend to watch summer vacation shows more during winter?

Guyssss I love morally grey female leads. Even better when the male lead is as well and possessive. The first half was draggy as hell. It’s slow but somehow not messy or cliche like at all. if you stick with it, the second half hits hard. The emotional payoff is real — love, family, betrayal, healing… it all comes together.

The acting? Solid. Even the side characters actually matter (which is rare at). The leads have insane chemistry, and the character growth feels earned. It’s not flawless, but once it gets going, it’s addictive and surprisingly deep.

reasoning from the trailer, the female lead is quite an airhead that gains power later on, but my question is when exactly does she become powerful and how big of an airhead is she? Does her character gain seriousness and depth later on or does that never happen?

yeah but also during ep 21. She's like let's get married and 30 seconds later they stroll around the marketplace holding hands . 10 Minutes later you can see the ml hacking out a plan with his army as if they all know what's going on in the fl's head even tho he himself seemed shocked after she asked the second lead to get married.

First he's shocked and then 5 minutes later you see him talking to his army, hacking out a plan (that the female lead is totally aware of as well) but how???

in my opinion you can't feel like you've killed someone and then at the same time want to start another relationship. The female lead confirmed that he still wasn't over it since he felt like he killed his ex(during the dream).
