oh, like i said we are on the same page on finding Alex reaction as a normal reaction. i did not have any issues about it, her reaction was normal. Karleen was being too much too by staying there. My issues is the writer added the backstory to Alex that she gets easily bored in a relationship and no past relationship she had lasted 1 year because she's not like that. So impliedly, the writer did not want Pearl to like Alex. it was so obvious. LOL

not really just Alex reaction... but her back story about not being in relationship for more than 1 year that she easily gets bored in a relationship. the writer intentionally did this backstory to justify Pearl's choice later to choose someone like Karleen. If the writer did not include this backstory and just proceed with Alex realistic reaction to Pearl and Karleen, that could have been better.
