I had made up my mind to give this a skip because of lukewarm response, but watching it was the best decision, after such a long time i enjoyed a jdrama so much. here is the thing, Japanese drama which stick to genere are formulaic af, all have the same basic plot and similar characters and elements. this is why i loved this lovely mess which changed genre every other episode, is it romance, is it comedy, is it crime. the true genre is absurd fun. and my absolute fav genre. Japanese sense of humour is the best in the world and i will die on this hill

well absurd and ridiculous is its own genre, and Japanese do it really well, if you think this story is illogical you should watch Tonde Saitama by the same writer, where they decide battles between students by having them smell bottled air from different places and making them guess where it is from, and battle between provinces are settled by holding giant banners of the biggest celebrities from that province, i loved the randomness and the intentional sillyness of the drama.

Dylan is right, they were messing around till 7th episode, after that is gets nonstop plot twists and turns, shit is going to get real from next episode, also the fiance too has a part to play in the plot, i would just say she is more than she appears. last 4 episodes are the strongest writing. weakest drama in a long time is a great injustice to the writers, they were laying everything out so far, they are going to reveal the cards now

I noticed Almost all the comments shipping mei and ibuki, are from a single person, who stated she is a lesbian herself. Not many are on that ship.

Okay she was decent in Samurai Marathon as well, haven't seen after the rain, but all the other films I saw of her, her acting was disappointing.

She is not too young & her acting is okay at best, she is best at playing psycho type roles like the world of Kanako but about the rest not much.
