I didn't watch this drama yet because I have no time, but this drama got very low score on Chinese Movie/Drama database made me not willing to watch.
Two reasons that this drama got more attention. 1. Jackie Chan is the producer. 2. Alyssa Chia comeback to costume drama, but It was so bad she had very less scenes like special character(guest role) to get more rating.
By the way, I read the news the guys who played Wang Zhi (Liu Yao Yuan) got many praises seem like he will be a shine star in the future.

Me too I also looking forward to this drama. By the way the girl is not partner with male lead. She plays the role as Consort Wan(Wan Guifei) the most favorite consort of the Chenghua Emperor.
She was approximately fifteen to seventeen years older than the emperor. Consort Wan was deeply loved by Emperor, who regularly gave her a lot of presents. These signs of affection caused a lot of jealousy from other consorts who began spreading rumors about Consort Wan's evil doings.
PS: In the novel I heard this role doesn't have much plays, but because Wan Guifei in this drama play by Alyssa Chia who is the popular actress then I think they will make more scenes and make the role more attractive. Can't wait to see the storyline.
