This drama is how all Xianxias should be. Smart protagonists , intriguing plot , political intrigue, comedy, deaths etc. A fine compilation of everything!
The Void realm is very interesting ( the heavenly realm is still good but it's where all the comedy takes place. The void realm is where the true plot starts with the 3 brothers fighting for the throne

This one is rumoured for March along with " the longest promise". Youku and Tencent always release their big Xianxias at the same time to battle one another.

I think he's gonna have a mortal version based on a new trailer that Youku released yesterday . He's gonna have red hair . This should be his mortal version I guess. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just saw it on YouTube. It was clear that he was confused and he wasn't remembering her (probably he was reincarnated in the mortal realm) and Ye Tan was remembering him and was trying to help him out somehow.

Yeah, so true. People want their idols to play on every drama and hardly give a chance to new actors to prove their talent.

When he said "I'm scared she'll leave me" I lost it lol 😜 That's a way to go Yin Fan !! That's the kind of shifu we need. A man that realises fast that he's in love and acts accordingly! Finally the perfect teacher-student Xianxia with a shifu affectionate whom makes you feel he's the husband from the beginning of the show !
Other teachers whom fall for their students in dramas like Novoland pearl eclipse, journey of Flower, ancient love poetry.... those guys needed 40 episodes to realise they're in love. And here we have Yin Fan whom basically already realised it from ep8 lol. There you go Yin Fan 👍🔥

Yin Fan must be the most kindhearted and flirty teacher in all Dramaland. He acts more like a husband rather than a teacher. I absolutely like that since I've watched many Xianxias and I'm tired of cold teachers. Men like Yin Fan whom realise fast that they like the girl are my top preference! Life is short....get on with it guys 😅

He's from the most tragic characters in this story. He was just unlucky and he touched the sword. 🥺 Basically he's a misunderstood character... Major death flag , I bet he'll die . Usually those types of romances in Xianxias are doomed.

I also thought this drama was going to be a cringy comedy and I hated the trailers. I thought I would drop this drama instantly and that I'd watch Chong Zi. The complete opposite happened. The 2nd episode was amazing from the plot to the CGI to the acting and the amazing music. Everything fits together into an enjoyable result. And yeah I love the 2nd couple very much and Luke Chen does a great job here ...
He's charming in his own unique way . Not like all the other big shot actors but he's still good in his own unique way

I love Xianxias and especially the ones with teacher-student relationship but in this one I don't like much Chong Zi's character. I honestly don't know if it's Chao Yue's fault or not but I really don't feel emotionally connected with Chong Zi at all. I've only watched 4 episodes. I'll definitely keep watching it. I'm just a little disappointed so far. At least I can enjoy Jeremy Xu's gorgeous looks lol . It's an expensive production. You can tell that this is an S drama. You could even take it for an S+
I just don't feel emotionally invested into Chong Zi , that's all. Normally I get emotionally attached to the main leads of the dramas I watch. That's not the case with this one 😐
At least Yin Fan is kind of flirty lol. He's enjoyable and not the normal cold teacher hahaa

In the Chinese novel the Prince and the female lead had developed a series of nods / body language gestures and they had a nonverbal communication system. At the beginning they used this body language to communicate in public places where they couldn't talk normally. That connected them deeply and later on they subconsciously started to pay attention on each other's faces and immediately knew from each other's expression if something was going wrong. That was amazing in the Chinese novel and I'm expecting from this KDrama to deliver it as well. ❤️❤️
They could "talk" without talking , they had chemistry and the Prince always knew when the female lead was under phychological pressure and he would always try to comfort her. I believe that's why Hwan gave her an apple in the Korean version. To make her smile and not necessarily to reward her.

Yes. Seong On's character is "Wang Yun" from the Chinese novel. The only difference is that in the KDrama Seong On is son of a minister but at the Chinese novel Wang Yun(Seong On) is the 7th brother of the Main male lead. But the rest of it is similar. The male lead in both stories considers Wang Yun/Seong On as a good friend/brother and trusts him not completely but surely a lot. Wang Yun tries to harm the prince and the female lead. So if they follow the novel Seong On will soon become evil and try to kill Hwan. Min Jae Yi will soon hate him deeply.

No she'll soon change her mind . Seong On won't be "good" for ever....
