cried my ass off so badly starting from when wei liang went to get FIL all the way to the end and typing this still makes me cry. The way liang yan died was so not satisfactory, i wished it was more torturous. when wei liang died, all i could think was about xiao tao and his three brothers waiting for him to come home and the scene where they were all moon gazing and shaking their legs, omg his death was the hardest out of the all the good people that died. And not to add one, the brother who lost his arm and was still fighting while having wei liang on his back omg i cant. I've been watching cdramas for so long and this really tops most of my historical ones. What a good watch and a good binge

Might seem slow burn just because the first kiss comes in very late (For a good cultural reason) but it is realllyyyyy good coming from a fan of NOT slow burn dramas :> and that you can see the love blossoming from really early on!!!!

All along this show, I really got reminded of Love Like The galaxy! Also about a general's love story with a noble family's daughter. Even the time period chosen is about the same! The female's clothings and styling are almost identical so it will definitely bring you back to this. And its 50+ episodes spread across 2 parts, so you definitely will have your fill with this. I'm planning to rewatch love like the galaxy now that i've just finished this one
