I can't blame Prince Li for what happened in the past. He was 14 and was forced into putting the blame on those 8 people that died. It's even mentioned that he was kept locked away for years. So he was pretty much helpless. Once he was finally let out he was forced into breaking off his engagement with Ye Li because that would keep him and her safe. They convinced him that once he takes the throne he would be able to marry her, just to later find out they were marrying her to someone else so he's devastated. I'm happy for her cause she didn't want to marry him anymore but I do feel bad for him. Now Prince Li has his own plans that he's secretly following. He already killed someone to hide evidence, he has become obsessed with having Ye Li, so everything bad that he does from here on out is on him.
I'm behind cause I'm following the VIP schedule so I still have 2 more episodes to watch. I just finished ep 28 and I guess I was hoping for something more for their reunion. They both went to have their "free meal" acted like this is the first time they met and then when dinner was over, instead of actually taking the time to talk and find out how the last 5 years have been for both of them she decides to decline his offer of taking her home and they both go their separate ways. Then like she didn't just reunite with the person she's been longing for they showed her going back to work like nothing and I can't remember what she said but felt like she was ready to move on. I do wish they could've focused more on their relationship during these last few episodes. That's just my opinion. At least I'm down to the last 2 episodes which are the ones where they're finally together.
I'm still really hesitant to watch it. Is the romance actually worth it, or does it drag on forever?I don't mind…
The drama is interested but if you want more of romance scenes or see them dating then it's probably not for you. I just finished episode 28 and they haven't kissed yet, I heard that happens next episode.
I had to watch today's episodes with low volume but was that Liu Yuning singing at the end of episode 8? I'll have to go back and listen to it again later today.
I really liked the first episode. I should go to sleep since I have to get up in less than 5 hours but I really want to watch the next episode so I'll have to sacrifice my sleep tonight.
So not only does Yan Lai find out that without meaning to he killed Chu Zhao's father but he finds out his own brother was trying to kill him cause those pills were originally meant for him. He didn't explain cause for one he's shocked but also feels so guilty and takes the blame. Now, I get that she's grieving but supposedly he's the one person she trust the most and yet she didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt in her mind he was already guilty and had done it to purposely hurt her father. I'm blaming both for the lack of communication, but hopefully once they both calm down they'll talk about it.
I just finished ep 19 so don't know what happened in ep 20 but... During the scene of QY coming out of a coffee shop and getting attacked, in the background there's a car driving by and there's someone inside taking a video/picture. Could that had just been a person that saw them filming the drama that took a video and the editing department didn't notice OR could it actually be part of the drama and they're trying to get evidence of XW being violent to get him kicked out of school?
First 2 episodes were great. I kinda want to stay up to watch the other 2 but I can't. I'm looking forward to them. Also, another amazing ost by Liu Yuning.
