We know she has all her memories but he's not supposed to have his but there was something about his facial expression that seemed different.
Would I have preferred a happy ending? Yes, but I don't think the ending was as bad as others made it seem like. I see it more like she went back in time and maybe she'll figure out a way to change things so that one day they can truly be together.
