Idk why, but i just noticed every time there's a scene where yang yang i given a water, expect it by the end of the scene the water is already drank up xD whether it's a glass of water or tumbler, does he do that in every drama? I don't think i noticed that of him in 'The King's Avatar'
just finished it and from what i saw i guess the prequel 'Shotgun Boy' won't be happening since they took some aspects there and put them here. i don't know... it's just a theory of mine since they introduced the girl who can turn everyone a monster, similar to the one in shotgun boy

and i don't know if it's dubbed or not, but my girl ren min has two voices here, i don't know why i didn't noticed it immediately, but the young zhu yan is definitely not ren min's voice, UNTIL she appeard as yaoyi and heard her speak as a matured woman like "hellooo?!?!!! excuse?!?!! is this really ren min?!! why does it sound so attractive?!?" so i went back in her other works and compared it and yep i think she's either using a different voice here like what zhao lusi did in hidden love or its dubbed
god!!! so far, out of the 4 chinese fantasy dramas that ive looked into, this has the most cleanest cgi that I've even seen... well.. aside from the cgi creatures they're scuffed at times, but still it is really really good production. And props to the creative heads behind this because the sets are very picturesque.
also, this could've been easily a 50-60 episodes if they didn't rushed the later parts and explained the world, clans and magic more and if not for the 40 episodes law too, but imo to fix that to fit the law they should've cut down the slog build up in the beginning, because i would argue half of the show was the build up
