I think Eugene Hathaway is the little girl from the fire so i feel Jae Hwan's mother is her real mom and Director Seo is her father. Jae Hwan could be adopted. Cuz when Director Seo looked into the background of Cha Jae Hwan's mother they said she has no relatives and she wasn't married in 1984 and it was mandatory at that time to register. I feel Detective Han Joo Seok helped her to adopt Jae Hwan.

Its kinda refreshing, Normally in dramas when the Main Actor wanna find out who killed their family members etc. its always in the end we find out how it was and it takes like two episodes and it done, the culprit goes to jail and so on. In this drama it gives you who it is and knowing early in the show how the culprit (culprits) uses different methods to stop the lead from discovering the truth. To be honest i liked how they place it, they all found out the truth of who is the son, who is the villain. Although they are still looking for the villain at the moment.
