Bai Ying is the descendant of Queen Bai Wei and the Emperor of the Sea Su Mo is the descendant of the former Emperor…
I see. Thanks for your reply.
So, does this mean the current main leads are all blood related to their respective ancestors ( those three)? So, these main leads aren't the reincarnated versions of those three in the past? I had a doubt whether they were all one and the same...
Can someone tell me how Bai Wei is related to Bai Ying and how Su Mo is related to the sea king who ruled Biluo sea 7000 yrs back? And is there any other sort of bond between the man in black robes with a hood and Zhen Lan( apart from the the fact that he is the descendant of the man clad in black robes)?
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
Dear Lady/gentle man , your TONE in your previous two messages sound provocative. It's like you are jumping to an assumption about me. That sounds so judgemental. I don't need to take feedback or advice from you when I didn't even ask for one!
That Qing prince probably has history with the mermaid girl since she has already chosen gender.
What you say must be true. I noticed that the mermaid had no red mark on her forehead before. She was already shown as a female. I have the same to ask about that female mermaid assassin who accompanies general Yu Huan. Why is she already a female with no red mark on her forehead? Does that mean she fell in love with someone else once?
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
I guess I made it clear that she was being UNINTENTIONALLY shrewd and selfish for the sake of being dutiful towards her people. Maybe her actions were driven subconsciously 'coz of the dutiful self-reminders & other conflicts that lie in her subconscious mind.
Maybe she will change into her best version later in the upcoming episodes. And maybe the ending will be different as you said. Even though, as you said, Bai Ying didn't promise Su Mo anything romantic, revealing this tiny detail earlier or later still impacts the nature, pattern of plot & character development to a large extent. So, I choose to stick to my opinion no matter what others say or think unless of course I personally see Bai Ying's character evolve in a better way in the upcoming episodes to suit the nature of this xianxia , romance genre.
Also, I don't find Su Mo's reaction to Bai Ying "out of character" at all. Based, on my Xianxia/romantic cdrama viewing experiences over the years, the otherwise placid male lead always displays extreme outpouring of emotions when it comes to any grave news related to the female lead. I regard this as a trope-like thing of romantic wuxia/Xianxia cdramas. Btw, didn't I already mention that Su Mo will cool down later?

Your line of reasoning is good. Agreed, Bai Ying does her best to not wrong Su Mo intentionally. Still, as you mentioned earlier, whenever Su Mo enquires about what Bai Ying truly thinks, she only mentions her duties and her commitment towards saving the lives of the hybernating KongSang people.
No matter how much he presses her, she just won't open up about the exact cause behind her inner conflict between desire and duty. So, if she doesn't open up, how can Su Mo think in advance of ways to save Bai Ying by buying her more time or think of ways to extricate her from her predicament? Why does Su Mo easily fall into the trap set by Bai Ying's uncle to provoke him and if possible, make him turn against his allies? Because Su Mo is frustrated and shocked , sad on getting to know this new detail.
All I want to say is that dutiful Bai Ying should've told this earlier to Su Mo to spare him the sudden shock and sadness. Who knows, perhaps, Su Mo could've had more time to come up with solutions to save her and everyone else.
But the catch is this kind of thinking is too good to be true. Su Mo values Bai Ying most --- even though his priority is to save his people & give them a home. So he may not immediately agree to her request to ally with KongSang to unlock seals and find his way home to Biluo sea, and help KongSang people to do the same at the cost of Bai Ying's life.
He will think of other ways to take his people back to Biluo sea which doesn't involve taking the life of Bai Ying. This approach will be beneficial to him and Bai Ying( from Su Mo's pov but not from the pov of Bai Ying ). Kongsang won't benefit in any way if Su Mo goes on his own. So, Bai Ying was being really shrewd and selfish here( even though it's all unintentional). So, Su Mo's temporary anger at her is perfectly justified. He felt like he was used ( Although that wasn't the intention of the dutiful Bai Ying.). Of course, he'll cool down later 'coz his love for Bai Ying is deeper and kind of more transcendental.
I'm not blaming dutiful Bai Ying for not loving Su Mo back the way he loves her. But, Su Mo is sincere towards her, and risking his as well as the lives of his people ( under the impression that there will be a happy ending for all) while he is helping other Kongsang leaders, Bai Ying, etc. So, in my view, dutiful Bai Ying needn't have been this shrewd and selfish in her dealings with Su Mo. Things might've have been smoother for Su Mo at least. Remember, Su Mo was used once by his enemies. And he suffered more than Bai Ying in the past uptill this point. So he gets pretty touchy when used( even if it's done unintentionally for mutual benefits).
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
When did I say people can't have their own opinions? Isn't that why you have the freedom to pass sarcastic comments with multiple smileys? See, Su Mo is already frustrated with Bai Ying for always holding back and not speaking aloud her true thoughts to him. It so happens that the revelation of this tiny lie from her part was the last straw. His pent-up frustrations burst forth in the form of intense anger. Had any other person been in Su Mo's place, he would have flown into rage or gone mad by now because of facing Bai Ying's weird attitude for months or years. It's a good thing that Su Mo is a resilient merman with infinite patience and limitless love for Bai Ying. From the pov of Su Mo , his anger is completely justified. His anger can be interpreted more as an outpouring of his frustrations and sadness ( caused by Bai Ying's actions).
If Bai Ying keeps hiding crucial info from him, he'll only feel lonlier and frustrated. It is hard to be empathetic at this point.

I won't waste my time responding to this anymore. It's hard to make some people understand. Or maybe some people stubbornly refuse to see things the way they truly are!
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
If Bai Ying is living for others, she shouldn't have lead Su Mo on. She should have just told him the truth from the beginning especially when she came to meet him with Na Sheng in order to persuade him to ally with Kong Sang. Also, no matter how unselfish Su Mo is, a part of him wants to coax Bai Ying to leave all political priorities , and follow her true thoughts and true heart i.e choose him over the crown prince. This thought is always there in his subconscious. It is evident in the episode where he loses control over his conscious self. So , considering all the factors above, what Bai Ying did was wrong. Also, an alliance between enemies should be based on mutual trust. If the other party uses underhand tactics ( even if it's for the right reasons), it doesn't become a pure alliance anymore. This sort of alliance loses meaning.
But then, Su Mo happens to be a character who is kind, empathetic towards Bai Ying.
So lucky for her, I guess he'll accept her and her pov once more.

Birds of a feather flock together. They must be like you or you must be like them.
Must be ur imagination!
I suggest that you get chilled.

I'm more interested in the second leads.
What about the second male lead- the demon prince?
Btw, what was the ending presented in the novel?
