No. Actually it is not Jun Jiu Ling which I mean. The drama name is the Justice, the Republican Era drama. Male actor is Zhang Xincheng (Steven Zhang). I didn't check it out yet, but it makes no sense to me because he is like the best one with high range acting skills in his age group.

I see. I have had bad experience with Douban before. But, didn't O&O also get downvotes and bad reviews after started airing? I think we cannot precise how well this drama doing only based on first week of airing in a particular site. Didn't we have better and more valid criteria other than Douban?

I said not wuxia (martial arts), not martial arts wuxia drama. Their romance is so pure and slowly captivating. In my case, I finished all first 10 episodes in one go, later wait for new episodes to come out. F&E is the continuation of their love story in another lifetime. I feel you will enjoy more on it.

You know the dramas you mentioned are different genres with this one. ALP was not that slow in my opinion. This is not xianxia or wuxia (marital arts) drama. I would describe it as slow burn, melo, tear-jerker drama. If you expect fast-paced, this is not the one. The story become much better in around ep 7. PS: its modern sequel, forever and ever is pretty fast-paced.

I suggest you to watch One and Only first before starting this. Because it'll not be the same experience anymore without One and Only. You might understand the story, but cannot connect with the essence of their past life. Every dialogues in Forever and Ever is connected and referred to One and Only.
