Yesss it was sooo painful and even when she went back 100 years in time and we see Ji Lings backstory, so heartbreaking i absolutely loved their love story 😢

I don't mind some spoiler on the end, I got some for VOS that's how i finally decided to watch it and i absolutely loved it, I didnt even care about the ending because I enjoyed the drama so much, the romance and the how the story was unfolding like layers was worth my time. (By wuxia and xianxia standards that a great haopy ending 😄) usually if they do meet again its from a distance and that's if they do meet.

If you haven't watched this as yet Veil of Shadow latter part have a time reversal arc, it was done multilple time and then again close to the end.

Ps. Thank younfor your comment, I didn't want to watch thos because i heard the ending was not a happy one, and I wasn't in the mood at the time, I may just dive right into this one without thinking about it haha 😆

I loved Ji Ling character soo much, in all his form and "roles" he seemed like a different person, but the lonliness the actor potrayed was so heartbreaking, great acting. Ju Jingyi did sooo well I am impressed, she nailed that foxy look and her longing for her man was great to see, she really nailed her character. The time reverse parts was so heartbreaking and the OST that played gosh, they both had such great chemistry. Ohh that OST they both sang separately and then sometimes they combined it was beautiful and sad at he same time... just loved it.

The other lead couple did really well also, I liked there dynamic and the enemy to lovers romance, there time trapped inside the stone and at the start was the favourite from them for me, they just mesh so well together.

Amazing supporting staff, there's so many likeable characters in this and I am so happy it's not one of those drama that killed everyone off, and even if they did, they came back *phew* I never seen FOF but Iheard stories and seeing thatsame directer 👀 haha

I am honestly giving this drama 9/10 there was plotholes here and there, but honestly I was enjoying myself so much I didn't really care about that haha .. It has eveyrhting I look for in a drama, The acting, romance, great supporting cast, loveable leads, sorrow and joy, The plot twist and the flow of the story (even if it wasn't the best) and the amazing OSTs!

Just completed this and nI nejoyed the acting, the romance (The longing, ohh my gosh!!), the story and the osts a lot. It felt like one of those older romance wuxia/xiania type the way both couples loved eachother, there was so many plot twist, I enjoyed that ascpect of the show as well.

The reason why these webtoon is so popular is because of the story, when you change it so much, I'm not sure what they're expecting, only those who haven't seen it won't mind.

Wow that's absolutely horrible, nothing is worse than being excited for something for it to be ruined before you even watch it.

I honestly don't see the need for excessive information, basic is better.

Yeah, maybe a bracket would have worked better, or just not have it at all haha 😆... i was really sad because one of the ML called a name and i know i saw it there and i realised who that person was, major spoilers, so disappointed 😞

The ending was satisfying as well!.

I just completed this drama and I'm happy I give it a fair chance because I enjoyed the politics, the scheming and acting a lot. The way how it was all schemes and it felt like a game they were playing and only one person will be the victor.

I also realised after finishing this that this felt like the FL was a graduate who had no work experience and landed her first job not as an entry level but much higher, and though she had the qualification she did not have any actual experience, thats how the first 5-7 episodes felt to me and that's probably why I felt like so much was happening, because she joined a game with veterans, but after she went and got experience, she came back formidable, all that hidden talent without the experience to back it up started fshowing, and she was on top of the scheming game.

The romance had a lot of yearning and staring into eachother eyes, some kiss scenes but based on this type of drama and the story, it was enough. I feel like they had the first half to hash out everything and formed this unbreakble bond, and then the second half was to focus on whats at hand... I definitely enjoyed the second half a lot more than the first half though.

Okay sounds like the usual haha, i will watch this after I am done wathcing another show i recently started.

Hi, I also watched a lot of xianxia etc, but I am curious about the ending of this one before I start, is it a HE, okay ending? I don't mind if someone died but did they come back? lol that's usually what happens in xianxia. I don't mind some spoilers, just remmeber to put a tag :)

I love reading webtoon and rarely watch the Kdrama adaptation, because more than often its always not the same or done poorly.

This was the first webtoon i read, and I've reread it multiple times. I wasn't as excited to watch it only because it's rare to find a good adaptation, but I still had it saved just in case and i keep coming back contemplating if i will watch it only for the webtoon sake, but as you mentioned i don't think I will be able too sigh!.

I went in knowing about the pacing from the reviews and comments, and I didn't mind i just wanted to watch this. Don't get me wrong it's not bad, but I guess I see what others mean, its episode 6 and so much has happened, but yet nothing happened!!.

I'm going to continue, but I need to see something happen soon for the FL with all that work she put in. Then again, I'm not expecting anything because of her opponents, she's new to a game they've been playing all a long. Idk 😌
