Nice, lighthearted romantic comedy historical, I thought the concept was done well. Some say it was fast pace, how they got together, both couples. But, i think it worked for them, most historical arrange marriages don't get off on the tight foot, these ones did so it was nice seeing it done differently. Both main couples and the side couples were great to watch.
Enjoyed it for the both couple, well there's more than two in this one 😄, and shockingly I liked them all.
I actually liked that it was "fast pace". I think it worked for this show, except the general and his wife, not a lot of build up before they got together, but once they did who cares 😄, because they were amazing together. The other couple had more screen time and I loved them, you meet someone and "click", spend time with them, sleep in the same room they're your "husband", pretty realistic to fall in love, so the fast pace worked and it was nice to see that in a historical drama.
I recently finished watching this drama and I was excited to see that others loved it as much as I did. However,…
👏👏👏
I saw this when it first came out, and I often re-watch stuff that left an impression on me, this came up and I'm planning on re-watching it now, I was shocked to see the comments now bashing the FL and praising the Actor not even the character of ML, I was gonna say something until I saw your comment here, well written.
Often time I see people do this, and it's usually people who have a favorite actress who acted with a particular male actor, they don't like seeing these male actor with someone else, so they bash the FL who act with these male actors. and visa versa. Even comparing shows.
I was so concerned about the ML playing someone half is age, so i had this one on the side, decided to pick it up and I'm so surprised, he played his role soo well, and they made him look younger without looking fake, I love his acting as the crown prince, whether serious or acting cute he had done well. I'm up to episode 17 and I still find the show so interesting. Happy I give it a chance
Ps. ohh Richard, Richard, Richard... that boy can act!!
Update: This show was great, I was concerned it'll get heavy in the last few episodes, but they did an awesome job keeping up with the slight comedy throughout the entire show, without ruining anything.. it was such a great balance, one of the best, if not the best historical drama I've seen this year!!
hello, I just saw this will be airing on YouTube tencent tmrw, here is the synopsis
【Synopsis】Chef Li Lan accidentally enters the comic "The General and the Farmer's Wife" and becomes acquainted with the cold-blooded general Wang Jin in the comic. In order to pay off the debt owed by Li Lan's father, the two opened a restaurant together. Li Lan relied on his modern marketing methods and superb cooking skills to expand his business. Not only did he pay off his debts, he also became the richest man in Qingshui County.
I actually liked it, whenever I'm in a weird mood I usually don't like watching anything heavy, or long so short length series and movies with a happy ending usually helps with my mood, this was really funny and cute. I find these movies where it's a series of stuff happening in a short time frame interesting.
This was well done for a miniseries of 4 episodes, i felt very content with, didn't feel like it needed to be longer, loved the couple, their chemistry and i enjoyed the story too. Definitely my favorite SK miniseries, i had it in my list for a while and was nervous it might have been heavy with the child's sickness, but it wasn't. It was well balance, i did feel really bad for the FL though, but again.. it didn't drag those issues and it wasn't heavy with drama, it definitely make you think more about celeb and who they really are, rather than who they're portrayed to be through the media.
I got to re-watch this soon, this year makes 10 years since I started watching kdrama, and this was my very first one, so it hold a special place in my heart.. I've also seen all the remakes except the Thai, and watched the anime.
I started this about 2-3years ago and dropped it, but somehow want to start it.over, but idk if its worth it🤷♀️ 😄
