They got together in episode 34 so be patient guys! During about 30 episodes we witnessed Bong Gi's impossible/tragic/exhausting love story with the doctor. Honestly, I don't know how I managed to watch it all without skipping. I came for Lee Min Ki, I stayed for Lee Min Ki. And the doctor was getting on my nerves so much, I couldn't take all his drama ! So annoying. The last 5 minutes was cute though...
As I watched the finale, my appreciation for translators has indeed grown. I think I took that for granted somehow,…
I translate a little on Viki. I'm not super active but I do a few projects a year. Of course it's voluntary work but there are some advantages, the free viki pass (the best advantage in my opinion), gift cards and so on.
I still don't like Jung Hoon, neither the child nor the adult. I don't know but he is so... unbearable/snob. Sorry not sorry. (Btw I'm on episode 12. So I can still change my mind...)
hmm... some say Jung Hyuk and Se Ri couldn't get married because for safety reasons , that it wouldn't look good…
I disagree. I think we have to take into account the very different context of dramas, even though they are both fiction. In King2Hearts, Korea is a mornachy and there is this idea of reconciliation between the two countries. Whereas in CLOY, the political context is more "real" and corresponds better to reality (against I know it's a fiction). If we think about it in a current context, the two of them, given their social positions, cannot marry openly and cross the border whenever they want ;).
The description tells me nothing and it's 72 eps? Yeah not risking it
Don't be afraid by the number of episodes. The episodes are less than 30min each. It's like thoses dramas with 32 episodes. It's quite enjoyable, I was rooting for the main couple and the BABY, lol. It's a family drama so there is a lot (of unnecessary) drama ;) But worth watching.
Okay, I totally get you, there's always some drama that I can't finish for some reason. For Eternal Love of Dream, sorry, I can't say anything, I'm not a big fan of C-dramas, so especially the very long, historical, fantasy ones. It's not for me.
I've watched Descendents of the Sun, but personally it's not my favorite drama, I think it's worth finishing it, the reason I don't know ?.
For Pinocchio, I only watched it for Lee Song Juk. Lol I was in a Lee Jong Suk marathon. But I enjoyed it more than Descedents of The Sun. So for me Lee Jong Suk was enough to watch that drama. Bonus, I like Park Shin Hye and I don't understand all this hate towards her. The whole story is good, of course there are moments when it's a bit silly and I wanted to tear my hair out.
So Forest really made me like Park Hae Jin and it's the only drama that made me be in front of my TV at a specific time in front of KBS World even though he was on Viki. But, I can't finish it. Basically, I've been on episode 28 for months. I'm a little afraid to finish it, I don't know why. While I've enjoyed the drama a lot overall. And I liked the "Forest", the overall environment. After a couple of episodes, you immediately understand what's going on. The story is not innovative I think it's one of those dramas that you can watch without any headache, but I still can't get past episode 28. I want to finish it but I don't have the courage. It doesn't make any sense...
I loved the article. I must be one of those minorities that rolls their eyes when I see the second male/female lead. I don't understand Second Lead Syndrome, but obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Of all the dramas I've seen, 5% of SLs must be in this category. I find that generally speaking, they are a hindrance to the story! Let's be honnest some SFL can be completely crazy... ***Old kdrama tropes***
I'll add the break-ups (useless) in the last episodes, and they meet a few years later. BAM, they look each other straight in the eye, and end credits! That's the most frustrating ending for me.
I don't totally agree with English. For example, I'm bilingual, I speak French it's my mother tongue, but my grandmother doesn't speak French at all at home. Yet she understands it perfectly. When she speaks to me, I will answer her in French, even though we both speak a different language and yet we understand each other perfectly. Sometimes I mix the two languages when I speak. When I had watched Best Lover, the fact that the FL speaks Korean and the ML speaks Chinese didn't shock me at all. Even in French, now some English expressions are commonly used in everyday life. But I guess for some people it can be weird.
