Their choices in clothes, cinematography, lighting, etc. is SO WELL DONE! It truly shows what you're supposed to feel like. That nc scene being covered in blue and darkness, and Akin only being seen wearing black clothes after breaking up with Jin which definitietly shows his grief. They're doing a wonderful job!
Everyone, go vote for a possible new series for Smartboom on x, Tailai entertainment put out a poll on it : https://x.com/Tailai_ENT/status/1917823318130044940
I saw the concept photos of Boom and Smart, checking fans reactions about it. should I assume another collaboration…
I saw them too and they look so cool! They look very high quality, could definitietly look like series posters! Since they're now asking for suggestions to a fandom name for SmartBoom it sounds like more collaborations will be happening, and I'm so excited for that. Not only that but in a recent interview Boom said that Top Form S2 was actually already planned and if we want S2 we need to support S1 a lot. Peanut during a live a couple days ago said that there's something special coming after the season ends. I'm very excited for what they have up their sleeve and I hope for more SmartBoom series and awards for them because they deserve it all!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for bringing attention to an important issue. I would like to respectfully…
Totally agree with you! This was also something I said in my own reply. Just because you enjoy questionable themes in fiction like the ones mentioned here dosen't mean you endorse it. It's fiction, we enjoy it for what it is! Books, series, etc. are not made to "promote sa" or anything like that, it's literally a fictional story written for a purpose, it's entertainment and that's all it needs to be taken as.
I am not sure if I watch the same scenes with some people here. Jin clearly said "you didn’t do anything wrong"…
I mostly agree with you and feel very baffled with some of the reactions on here. You have to understand Akin's mind and what space he was in after the Jhonny incident, but also understand how many victims of this usually feel: they feel guilt, they wonder if they were to blame somehow, if they somehow caused this. In Akin's case he felt guilty because he was sure that perhaps he, even drunk, had willingly cheated on Jin, even though no such thing is possible. Jin assured him that he had done nothing wrong, that all the guilt he had was misplaced, that he could let that go. It was all Jhonny's fault and no one else's. I do agree that Jhonny should have greater punishment but we have to keep a few things in mind. One is that they literally can't do anything. Jin clearly wants to, that's why he recorded Jhonny to use it as blackmail against him, but like he said, Jhonny is in this play with Akin, and you know, if Jhonny goes down now, then Akin will go down with him. It will affect Akin's career greatly and he will be under great scrutiny and not to mention that Jhonny is big in the industry so him getting a punishment is low chance, plus we have to take laws and the system into account which sadly does not take male victims of sa very seriously. That is sadly very realistic. It's not right, but realistic. Jin has that recording of Jhonny as his slow revenge against him. Akin can provoke Jhonny, kick him, you name it, and then Jin can bring out that recording to force Jhonny to keep quiet about it. Not only that we're also watching a series that is adapted from a manga and then later anime, and it's not like they can change such big parts of the material. They can't change the entire story like that. Small changes that they've done, sure, but nothing else. So if anything it should be blamed on the source material where things are written this way. The red flag character thing I'm 50/50 about. This is all fiction and we need to remember that. Red flagged characters can be red flagged BECAUSE it's fiction, not real life. You can "fall in love" with a red flagged character in a series, book, whatever it is, but also acknowledge that irl it's no go. It's about seperating fiction from reality. Hey, everyone loves a good villian! That does not mean you support what that character does or would irl :)
wait… what… Boom said that there is a plan for season 2 if season 1 is successful enough! I’d love a season…
I'm so happy he said it! I'm hoping and praying for more series for these two together because they are simply wonderful and are doing an incredible job. They deserve more series and awards so I'm happy Boom said that Top Form s2 was actually already planned and that if we want s2 then please support s1 a lot! From what I know I don't think we will be ending on a cliffhanger.
One of my fav things about Akin and Jin is that they really look like a couple in love. The body language, closeness…
THIS. I have been thinking and feeling this too. It feels so authentic and I believe 100% that these two people are a couple and they love each other. I hate when it's the case that the magic is only there when a couple is working on becoming a couple, and then after they get together it's just...not there, the magic isn't there, that feeling of two people WANTING to be together, to be close to each other, be comfortable with each other just isn't there. The casual intimacy is perfectly portrayed here and it makes me so happy to see!
SmartBoom has an upcoming photobook with different concepts and it's possible for the fans to vote/comment on which they would like to see become a series for them the most in the future!
