I am trying to think if I would recommend this or not. I really enjoy the lead but I have problems with things.. 1. The transformations- I feel like they missed opportunities and I wanted her to case more trouble at night at his house. Its a let down that her seeing problems dose not get shown enough. The tiger is horrible and there is no point to her meeting her dad in the other "world" for me it adds nothing. 2. There is no full plot for the side story's unless you watch the extra ending- if you don't it feels abrupt. I wish there was more Nana and Lou. 3. There is very little investigation into his bro death- more like stubbing upon the truth and then being a jerk about it. But I'm glade there are no holes there. 4. "The real couple"- I knew it was Guan Shan telling a story to kids but I thought it was their love story still, with the characters fading and them changing at the cliff...it shoes everything was fake. So who are Guan Shan and his wife WanWan, why is she sleeping- So with them ending like that I wish we had more views of who they are. ~This really lowers me view on the whole drama, even the special is disappointing to me and it is because they did a bad job of wrapping things up in 35. The special is more a show of what the other characters are doing than the leads
This is in regards to the timeline of events happening. In the first ep, Tao Yao said to Xingchen (in the marriage…
The transformations are all a mess because if she was a dragon then there is no way she kicked Xue Mu- in order its dragon-snake-then horse.... and also rat and pig are swapped. The whole thing is confusing about the transformations cuz an animal is for a year not a new moon. xD lol
Just finished it. My response: NOOOOOOO!I know it's tragic and beautiful but also wtf? Can't they just be kind…
I was sad about the ending but then I read this comment- Xue Yao and Chuyue are characters that the storyteller made up to give himself (Guan Shan) and his wife (Wan wan) an alternate ending. All the characters, from the Emporer to Xingchen, are just people he randomly met at the market and wove into the story. He tells her at the end when they're at the cliff that he hopes he and his wife can live on in the stories forever. He continues the story with Xue Yao and Chuyue walking to the cliff (that's why their clothes changed--it's not him and his wife going to the cliff) but he changes his mind and gives them a happy ending (extra episode). We don't know what happens to him and Wan Wan though or their real life or why she is sleeping in the first place... So the happy ending is its all fake. xD
I made it to #4 but I feel no connection with the characters... And I hear it ends bad...so I'm thinking of dropping it. Its really to bad, has good actors.
I used to dislike when the ML is much older than the FL and find it creepy as well, but lately I've noticed that…
For some reason I don't have the same problem with noona romances , I think it might be cuz the guy is still actively pursuing and the FL is not "teaching" them to be an adults'. They still become "men" but its not the same as it is for girls. Cuz the girls always are sweet/ innocent who are shy to hold hands but the boys will full on kiss or one night stand. So I do not see the guys as being too young.
interesting- I don't feel that it was rushed and I think it could have ended at 27? So I felt lucky to get some…
There is very little plot for them to use other than more misunderstanding for the leads for a 2nd season. Personally I prefer them to be happy as they are now, than drag their love through the mud. Or maybe they could do a 2nd one with side roles as the leads and them showing up to help.
Personally when actors are closer to the age of the role- early 20's , I find it hard to believe their emotions or the role is too basic- I don't feel the love and the depth of what could be a great show. But I find that it is normal for old actors to play younger roles no matter the country. When I don't like it is when the age gap is between them and the FL. It can get a bit creepy . TBH I never really know the TV age of the men- its more the women that play a younger role that grows up that I notice it.
Thinking of starting this but a bit put off by the inappropriate teacher-student relationship. Opinions?
idk its at lest collage age she's 22 and he's 28 -ish. And it starts off with their wedding- not a spoiler if its in the first few mins and she explains its an act. Watched first epi- zero creeper vib
It starts of great and super enjoyable- the middle is ruff for me. I had to stop watching for a bit.. really the ML kept me going. The pot just gets a bit boring. But I'm glade I finished it, the last few epis are great! Now alot of people get upset about her being prego. For me that is what made this drama funny and I wish they would have done more with that and less with other plots. I'd recommend this for anyone that needs a light drama that you can pick back up anytime.
