i'm pretty sure the manga is in its last arc right now, so i'm guessing like 10 to 15 more chapters until the end. it's still gonna take a while since it has monthly updates and the author takes breaks for a month of two here and there T-T

also i'm not sure if there's even going to be a fourth part bc the manga's current arc is the queen match between shinobu and chihaya and ,, that's already happened in the movies

i'm not talking about about the taichi in the movies, i'm talking about the taichi in the manga and the anime. and my overall comparison was about about them both being flawed characters, and how one shows growth while the other doesn't (also note that while the movies are great, they dont represent the characters in a complete accurate way, they're just adaptations).

i'm glad i'm not alone ! Jab We Met is one of my faves just bc of Aditya and Geet's relationship <33 and ty!! i thought i was being biased but thats reassuring

after reading a bunch of posts on this drama on different sites, what i've understood is that the writers wanted to take a refreshing route and introduce a flawed character as the ML. the problem is, however, they couldn't write him well enough. for me, to write a good flawed character you don't just show that character's faults but also show their growth. which is something yet to be seen when it comes to NDS.

a good example of a well written flawed character would be Mashima Taichi of Chihayafuru. in ways, he's similar to NDS. he's insecure, jealous and a coward but those are all traits he acknowleges, and all his mistakes haunt him, leading him to have one of the best character developments i've ever seen or read about. the current Taichi (the manga is on-going) reminds me more of HJP tbh (which just goes to show his incredible growth).

anyway, all that to say that, i don't think people on here dislike NDS for being flawed, but more for not showing any growth. and it seems his growth will be very last minute, with the way things are going.

(idk if people will know him, but HJP reminds me a lot of Aditya Kashyap from the indian movie Jab We Met, especially with that confession. wish he could have the same happy ending ​)

its a shame the episodes are so short tbh because there were some really good ideas that could have had full length episodes dedicated to them. ep 6 and 8 had so much potential...instead of filming the same 'ghost kills people in school' ep three times, they could have spent more time on those two eps and maybe compile the three school eps together for a single one.
