I don't really think the novel is 100% BL. Even tho there's no Female lead, their realtionship never 100% confirm in the novel but they do have some romantic scene between them (based on some discussion in internet i see on wether the novel is bl or no) because the novel is focusing on the crime solving plot only. But the author of the novel is a well known BL author you may know her novel "Peach blossom debt", the original story that eternal love(ten miles of peach blossoms) ripped off.

all i remember is that rong tian is actually the real crown prince and feng ming is just his substitute, and later on rong tian will know that feng ming is not the actual feng ming and feng ming is a very smart person, because of that rong tian get smitten by him and they'll fall in love. There's chp where feng ming get poisoned and rong tian very worried and become more protective.

just found out what this based on, and i would say the manhua is way less toxic than the novel.
