You're after my own heart. Have you read Terry Brooks series Sword of Shanara? I've been around for a long time so have read lots of Fantasy and SiFi. I also like historical stuff. James Clavell's Shogun comes to mind. He also wrote Alaska, and various other historical well researched novels. A few mysteries thrown in here and there. I too own LOTR and The Hobbit DVDs. I watch once a year. I also re read the books. They are falling apart now.

I read the novels "Game of Thrones many years ago. Even before they thought of making it a series. In fact I never watched the final season. It got to be too much. Lord of the Rings read the books many, many times but still enjoyed the movies. This one is different I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I never read the novel, don't intend to. I like to be uninformed sometimes when watching shows. That way I get surprises. I loves surprises. Peace♥

What I like about this drama. Yes it has tropes but well done tropes. It has some hilarious scenes. Fans anyone to stay cool. Nature breaks. Beautiful scenery and photography. The story has lots of character growth. Ups and downs with some political intrigue. Has you rooting for our leads. In the end they won. Happy ending all around. (except for our villainous, psycho ex << he lost.)
