This drama isn't a fluffy full of romantic tropes drama. It's a slow burn from the first time he glimpses her to admiring her tenacity and gumption to get results she wants. He falls more and more into caring for her and wanting to protect her. She is one smart FL character and will do anything to reach her goals. However, ML swoops in at the right moments to save her from herself. The chemistry between the leads is awesome and keeps you wanting more. Peace♥

I think the agencies that rep the young actresses try and get them noticed by pairing them with famous ML. Some bomb badly and some show promise. On the whole for myself I wish they would give them more training before they do this. It's up to the Director to bring out performances in his actors. Some think they have a famous ML they don't have to work hard. Darn agencies. FL is cheaper to hire and spend all their budget on ML. Peace♥

She figured out the Princesses part in her former death when they were at the feast in the palace. Duke warned her as well. So being JL she had a back up plan. Just in case. Both JL and the Duke are well aware of the Princesses manipulation going on. They just need the solid proof to bring her and her brother the general down. Relatives of the Emperor have power. They have a very complex relationship. They are using each other to accomplish their goals. Sometimes their goals don't line up. The Duke is protecting her as best he can without giving away that he is doing this. The Duke doesn't want everyone to know. If the villains' know this it will be harder to use her as a chess piece to make moves. He has confidence in her ability to speak up for herself.♥
