Is there going to be a season 2?

I just found out that next month season 2 is coming, so I decided to rewatch this season, but I noticed something in the show that I didn't when I first watched it. (I also realized that somehow I never watched ep9.) Anyways while watching ep 9 I noticed that one of the characters mentions how a teacher stabbed a student with a pen and then in the next episode the teacher stabs a student with a pen. I wonder if that was on purpose or not. It could mean that the episodes are not in order but I could be overthinking. I'm also wondering why ep 9 ended with cliffhanger.
