I meant haters, I read a lot of people are resistant to their upcoming 3rd leading colab and he responded. Made me kinda sad, they're really great together, can't understand the hate towards them working or being together. Although I find them mismatched when I first saw Legends, thought she looks a lot older than him but when his look changed (to sect leader look) and AMA changed my mind and their BTS too.

I didn't know who Ni Ni was but saw this long ago on Netflix and really wanted to watch bc of her in the trailer alone captivated me and knew she'll be amazing just from the trailer.... But I always research the ending before committing to a drama so... Then I saw Love & Destiny bc I LOVED 10 Miles and she's also in it and now I'm obsessed with her. I tend to get attracted to the male leads more but oh boi, I'm literally addicted to her and wish she have more dramas under her belt....

Well said. I lowkey though XK acting wasn't that great in Legends but his acting in AMA literally completely changed my mind, he improved drastically. BL was awesome from the get go in Legends so I found her a bit awkward in AMA at first, especially her fake laugh but then again, she's supposed to be awkward bc she's posing as a boy. Also great point about how one can distinguish her roles right away. Just from AMA, honestly thought whenever she "disguises" herself back into a girl, she'll be awkward, but she was quite graceful and I don't feel awkward and I loved it!
Anyways, I've officially became a shipper and really looking forward to this but Food genre is not my kind of thing but so was AMA's military genre and I've been completely pleasantly surprised and love AMA, and heard this will be an anticipated production so fingers crossed. And truly hope for a 4th leading coupling or more or some good real life dating news. Like my fav couple from Le Coup de Foundre from reel to real. lol

Like all others, would've love more romance scenes from our GYZ-XX ship but I came knowing I won't get to indulge but pleasantly surprised I'm not too disappointed with the lack of romance. Because GYZ's antics, his ways of courting her, possessiveness, and love was present in every single eps so the lack of kiss scenes or more explitcit romance went unnoticed for me. Also love the scene of her protecting his stuff from being burnt even before she realizes her feelings for him and a few small instances of her showing affection for him (like whenever SJS interrupt their moments, she'll look at him knowing he'll be jealous).
Xu Kai's acting greatly improved here compared to the Legends, GYZ was completely the opposite of Moqing and XK pulled off perfectly. His angry scenes was done much better and more convincing here. I love Zhao Yao much more than XX but thankfully XX finally got pretty badass too later on when she save her friend, SJS, and herself in peking. Just wish she was badass more earlier on.
The love triangle thing actually wasn't really too strong. GYZ won from the get go for me since I've always had the impression that XX admires SJS bc he reminds her of her brother and nothing more than that since she's always quite formal with him and was uncomfortable when he found out she's a girl and courting her. If anything Manting's one sided love for GYZ was much stronger, she's quite funny with her antics and unique whenever she rescue GYZ but I didn't want to like her so I skipped most of her scenes. She's too similar to GYZ so kinda given he wouldn't spare her a glance and seemed putoff
Given the military theme, I honestly thought it'll be more tragic but gladly surprised only Huang Song's death really got me. Guo is a cool mentor but I skipped his scenes bc they made it so corny with the overly dramatic music (they're good ost, but was really overused in the first 20 or so eps especially for Guo, they incorporated it much better in the later half) and the way he went out was kind of lame. But yea, thought there'll be more death, was expecting to lose snipper guy YanLin, and a XX's bff and some family members. Not complaining though, but glad I over prepared myself lol.
Over all pretty good drama, and I understand the hype. I'm an official KaiLu shipper now, heard they're confirmed for their 3rd leading role together with their producer/boss and I'm soooo excited!!! This is not my kind of genre, I'm a strictly romance only kinda gal but I came for KaiLu bc of the Legends and this'll be something i'll rewatch in the future for the laughter. Plot and execution was kinda meh and some were pretty illogical but the amazing squad chemistry and laughters made it up, especially GYZ's antics and Ji Jin the reaction guy.
