If you compare the book with trailer- the events happening in trailer pete is still with Ae according to the book. The will be sent to Germany after the events of the trailer by book. Even so pete will comeback for ae in the book. If it's by book there should be a scene with Ae calling pete from bar as wife and Pete going to pick him up and Ae declaring his love in front of whole university. Pete childhood friend finding out he is gay, Them exchanging rings. Going on a trip with tin and can, pond and charm, lemon and champoo,. And trump kidnapping pete and ae almost murdering trump. These are the events that lead pete to go to Germany, after his father found he is gay. How can they not make it in series. Tin and can has short storyline compared to Aepete
