Question for everyone here, 18 years or older:How many of you are still in a romantic relationship with your childhood…
Started dating at 16 and broke up at 19 during college (2nd year/2nd Semester) - Never dated anyone before him and we were growing apart. We met when I was a senior in high school, we then went to the same college, we were in the same major. I switched majors. I wanted to try new experiences. Our friend groups diverged a bit. Then we broke up. I havent physically seen him in about 2-3 years though. But every now and then we might chat .
Here's Bas' Blessing from the class in ITSAY - and it fits like a glove in IPYTM.
"If you don’t, I just want to tell you that I like you. I’ve like you since 10th grade. From the first day of school I got not friends and no one to talk to until you came along. Took me to play stuff, took me to lunch, and I got to meet our friends. It might be funny to think that I’m a closed person, no friends – something like that, but that day I felt like you’re the best. I wanted to be your closest friend. And when time passed, I got feelings for you more and more. And I got confused, like, shit, I liked you? Is that possible? "
I agree with you - this season is a retelling of the first one, actually I saw on YT how someone compared their…
Teh also had the same shirt when he was kissing Jai as the first time he and Oh were feeling each other's thighs on the couch - That's his like "experience something new" shirt.
Also - While Teh was thinking about Jai during the song, Oh was thinking about Teh during the piano version of Skyline when he was seeing Bas.
i understand that you are not feeling this series and i get it , its not one of the best series , for me its an…
I think He's Coming to Me (with Thun just saying he is gay) and Pharm and Dean in UWMA not having to "figure out they were gay first" for 5 episodes was refreshing.
We understand Pharm is Gay and Dean is as well from the start - so don't need the build up leading up to an Episode 6 first love confession. It allowed the actual story to happen in UWMA.
For He's Coming to Me - It was refreshing with a real coming out scene with the mom.
Love By Chance had that as well- in the first episode we know Saint is gay - Perth had a little bit of nudging.
Episode 1 of FUTS - we get Pi is gay, and there's a balloon surprise we will get to see soon (which is slowly being revealed - and something I have been looking forward to each episode as we get more and more details).
FUTS doesn't get everything right, but it isn't hitting all the wrong notes.
Mix - we don't even know if he is gay (but first page of the book lets us know he is). Mork is obviously the guy from the next door faculty - and Pi is out from the start. Thats a huge PLUS - its not Arthit needing 12 episodes to tell Kongpob he only likes him.
All this aside, as much as there are problems, Thailand and GMM TV have been pushing LGBT stories for 5 years + now.
And while good criticism is necessary, putting on the 2021 woke lens of Americans (who have our own problems) on a different culture and society is not always the best way to move things in the right direction.
We may have issues with how some of the stories have come out, all their problems and all the things that are "wrong" but most of the actors push for LGBT rights (Tul especially this week) and last year Earth, Tawan, Fluke, Max, Tul, Off, Gun all tweeted when Thailand was considering gay marriage. This included those authors, some directors, and a whole host of others involved int he BL industry.
There was a time when Queer as Folk was railed against by the evangelical community in the US.
So lets take our high horses and stable them, and just enjoy the show.

As someone said above - my friends and I also have “bingo” card -
Trip to the beach, someone with a fever (and the towel and water bowl), exchange of jewelry or charms, enemies to lovers, I don’t like boys - only you-
It’s usually the shows that are different that stand out
ITSAY, he’s coming to me, my bromance (movie), UWMA (though based on a book) was different - for a lot of people SOTUS was the first son engineers got written into so many books and shows after -
I usually watch I promised you the moon Thursday and FUTS Friday to balance out the intensity of IPYTM -
He's the oldest out of the 4 in Fish Upon the Sky - I wonder if they call him P' - They're always doing Instagram Live's the 4 of them but I havent been able to watch any
This episode's extra funny! Neo really nailed his scenes here! I love the development of MeenDuean. As for MorkPi,…
Next episode will probably add Nan and Meen (and maybe even Bam Bam and Wan) to the balloon scene - basically everyone who is a supporting character who are "approving" of them being together and showing their support before the final reveal of Mork for the final scene where they (hopefully) don't hug and high five it out a-la-2gether

It's based off a book (same author as Theory of Love and 2gether) - Sarawat and Mork are very similar characters. Sarawat was in love with Tine for a year before - Same with Mork being in love with Pi for a while before.
Both Mork and Sarawat make some weird roundabout way to get their guy.
Tine never thought about dating guys and Pi never thought someone would want to date him. I'm not sure they can stray TOO MUCH from the source material.
You wrote "It feels like the director/screenwriter didn't want to make a gay romance but was forced into it. Which results in us getting this. "
I would say this is much more in line w/ traditional Yaoi/ BL - A woman author writing about m4m relationships, without being in the LGBT spectrum.
Yaoi books were never intended for gay men, though they would def get some attention. They were women writing stories about men for other women. Some just happened to get really famous and had books turned into shows.
I'm writing as a gay man from the US --> I am Definitely not the intended target audience for Jittirain - Theory of Love, 2gether, Fish upon the sky Lazysheep - Red thread (until we meet again) Hemp Rope (Between Us) Mame - (Love by chance, tharntype, LBC 2, Tharntype S2)
Downrating the episode is pretty silly. You dont have to be happy with how its going, but judging by the meltdowns on here, i think the actors/director/creators elicited the exact feelings from the viewers they were going for.
I was tense the entire time for all of it to just burst after a full hour of build up had collected.
When Maengpong and Plug's legs touched, every one of us thought about Bas. Everyone is angry at Teh and everyone is heartbroken for Oh-aew - but that doesnt mean the episode was a 5 star episode.

My fave are the two newbies - mork and meen
