ep 40 got me crying for changge. she found out her uncle aka the current emperor was her mother's first love. Back story, her mother was saved my her uncle during some battle. But after the uncle won so many battles, he often had to lead more battles. This lead to an opening for his brother to take advantage of her mother, which lead to the birth of Changge. As a baby, Changge wouldn't even smile at her father, but instead of her uncle. Changge grew up to be closer to her uncle than her father. Even though her uncle was not her biological father, he love her and her mother very much. In the eyes of her uncle, she is her daughter. I'm crying :'(

I think you should at least give it a one episode try before drawing conclusions. So far, im enjoying it and the roles that the characters play are suitable and relatable.
One of the best cdramas that I’ve ever watched. The script was well-written and the scene execution were perfection. It really felt like we were digging out evidence of who the killer was. I cried so much for every suspect. The pain in their souls.
This line struck me because why do women need to marry to be happy. Being single is also a way to be happy. I, for one, like being single because it keep things simple for me.
I understand there is huge pressure on females in China about their future, but the older generations need to understand that marriage does not always equal happiness or stability.
I believe the first step in finding happiness is to first accept yourself. Love yourself. Be yourself.
