My question/a huge plot hole:
I’ve learned from multiple sources including real South Korean girls that they’re not even allowed to wear makeup or even jewelry to high school in SK. Uhhh so I guess this story just can’t be applied to reality cuz it would never happen in the first place lmao.
(I haven’t watched this yet but I’m up to date on the webtoon, so if this is somehow addressed in the drama I wouldn’t know…lol sorry I just wanted to share what’s been bothering me with others haha)

The majority of the conflicts were solved and had satisfying endings. The characters were well-written and loveable (I’ll love Captain Ri’s special squad of 5 forever🥺 and yes that includes MB the wiretapper, the poor guy deserves all the good things in life ). I’d take some points off just cuz they killed my man Seungjun and left Dan all by herself😭 I appreciate how I ended up liking SJ+Dan, Dan’s mom, the village ladies, the older brother and his wife, JH and SR’s dads, and Seri’s mom. The younger brother and his b!tch of a wife got what they deserved!!
My selfish wishes: Jeonghyuk and Seri deserve to see each other more often, the squad guys should get to see Seri once in a while (video calls?…plz), Seungjun should have LIVED GOD DAMMIT!!!💔
P.S. if I ever hear JH’s song for his dEAD BROTHER again…I will start bawling instantly just by instinct.

The trailer and opening/closing credits gave me hope for this drama. I only finished up to episode three but I can’t get into it yet :( The acting from the leads and supporting cast so far is kinda crappy and really distracting. It’s giving me cringey vibes atm but I’ll keep pushing and see what happens.

Ya, that makes sense. I'm not really criticizing the show's writers because I could definitely feel the cultural difference while watching this and many other dramas from South Korea. I was looking at it from more of an objective pov and excluding the fact that it's a fictional story from SK. I was stating my beliefs about what should have happened if this was non-fiction and disregarding the societal norms that take place in Korea.
My point is no matter where you're from you and only you should have control over your life once reaching adulthood. Gender, familial relationships, etc shouldn't be the deciding factor. There were many parts in this show that frustrated me because of a lack of common sense from numerous characters lmao. It's ok though; the ending was sweet and everything was mostly sorted out. This drama was very bittersweet and props to the creators/writers for being able to play with my emotions so easily (T__T).

Some things I really wanted to happen in this drama:
•the Dad to stop being a selfish jerk and understand his daughters more. Also realize YOU CANT DECIDE WHO THEY MARRY, they’re ADULTS and you can’t control them anymore, you imbecile!
•everytime Gi-Seok spoke I wanted to slap him. FYI you can’t forcefully marry your EX girlfriend and tell everyone that your gonna marry her behind her back. That’s not how it works, she clearly dumped you and was seeing another man. There’s no such thing as “I won’t agree to that” or “I’m marrying you for your sake”. IT’S NOT FOR YOU TO DECIDE EVEN IF SHE “RUINED” HER LIFE YOU JERK.
• Jeong-in needed to be clearer towards Gi-Seok. I lost count of how many times I yelled at the screen saying “tell him you don’t love him anymore and that you wouldn’t date or marry him even if you weren’t seeing another person!!”
•I’m not gonna go off on the older sister because being in an abusive relationship isn’t easy but... I really hope she would’ve pressed charges to send Si-Hoon to jail and make sure he doesn’t have any parental control because he’s an abusive prick who claims to love her, but we all know that’s not true. (It’s too bad that this subplot was left open-ended)

I just finished this drama and was reading comments... Can someone explain what this has to do with Something in the Rain? I haven’t watched it yet.

The show would've been perfect if the girl wasn't inside the male lead's body (>__<) does it really count as a BL if one of the dudes is actually a female... I don't think so. I was only satisfied when they kissed at the end and the girl's spirit finally left. But of course, they don't show the relationship with the 2 guys together after the girl left in the end smh...

I actually said "Ayy let's get it Yuki!" when he punched Akira lol. He honestly deserved worse! Akira's got some nerve to say I love you to Yuki after not seeing him in years >:(
Plus the MODC cameo was *mwah* icing on the cake!

It's a censored BL romance because of China's laws. (ie. no kissing, outright dating, etc between main couple)

I'm only on episode 9 so what I say might not even be relevant, but I'm getting annoyed by a HUGE plot hole atm. They addressed in the first few episodes that Hyunji can only wear clothes that are burned for her (except for her school uniform). How on earth did she randomly get a whole new outfit when she went shopping with Bongpal?? I know damn well they didn't stop to burn the new dress and shoes. If they didn't burn the clothes people should be seeing an outfit floating through the air, especially when they were in the store and that employee looked over. Did she see a floating dress or do clothes just disappear when Hyunji puts them on?? Plus, when the pair went on that date, Hyunji was touching/picking up EVERYTHING. Are you trying to tell me people aren't seeing random items floating in midair when she holds something? What about the food? I think something was mentioned in early episodes by Hyunji that ghosts can only eat food offered to them. However, this doesn't explain what normal humans see when she eats. When they were at that restaurant, in PUBLIC, she was eating and drinking with Bongpal. Does the food just magically vanish from the plate? Are the fork and knife hovering in the air?? Like wtf, I don't know why this bothers me so much but UGH some explanations and consistency would be nice??

Thanks! I have read the original novel translation on exiled rebel scanlations. Just to make sure though, wasn't there only one smut/sex scene at the end? (plus Wangji kissing WWX in the forest) Those were the only smutty scenes I remember, am I missing something?
