Oh no, not Ashes of Love LOL- I love that drama, it was my first, but it was frustrating and heartbreaking at…
The most problematic for me it's the drama trying to sell this Just Heroine image of the female lead when she literally lies all the time. She has her reasons (reasons that kind stop justifying her lies as the drama progresses), but i feel like all the credit it's not deserved and the problem with her attitude is never properly addressed. Also there's this second lead attitude that it's horribly and disgusting and it's literally treated as something good.
For inconsistency: The strength and power hierarchy it's so messed up. It feels like people climb from a weakling to a master or defeats someone supposed strong just because it's what the author needed with no sense.
But it's fun in the beginning, the male lead it's my baby, the second couple story is SO GOOD, the support characters are fun and sweet, AND i've reached a part where i was shocked by the story development and it kind opened my heart again. I think if you like ashes of love you won't be as frustrated and infuriated as me in some parts, so give it a try.
Note: Ashes of love it's frustrating, i hated the second lead from the bottom of my heart, and in THAT Scene i screamed and cried so hard that it physically hurt but i don't see the same problematic part or inconsistency as in this drama.
The amount of hatred i have to the drama. I feel rewatching Ashes of Love, but it'worse. IF NOT FOR HOU MING HAO AAAAAAAA Sorry, There's also my goddess Tianji. And literally LIVING for her couple. Maybe i went crazy cause no one else can see how problematic and inconsistent is the drama?????
I've been a Kpop fan since 2016, i've been through too much filthy stuff, specially from Survival Shows. SO zero expectations. I'll be watching just for Santa.
Everyone complaining about the main story. Yeah i disliked since beginning so i didn't even care and just continued to watch because of Ji Hoon, but then i felt a sad ending was coming to his character so i'm stucked at episode 13 for 2 years
I see a light of wisdom here! Honestly, the scene after she figures everything out, moves back to her previous house and he appears outside the building, looking to her window was the biggest Horror scene i've seen in my life. And the fact people don't address this and actually liked and saw as a Rom-Com is scarier
I'm not sure giving someone the silent treatment all day is "knowing how to communicate" - lack of communication…
I think it's not just "There would be no play" it's about making relatable content too. I ignored the first boy that i liked for A WEEK cause my friend asked him if he would kiss me, i freaked out, and that's pretty much what happened to Pran. It's not easy to open up about your feelings. But they made clear what they could, avoiding those unnecessary missunderstandings
