i never enjoyed wuxia or chinese dramas before, mostly because they're too long but I've rewatched this for at least 3 times and I've also read the novel and seen the anime. that's how much i loved this

i hope this drama does well and brings awareness to chinese wuxia and xianxia too. this definitely deserves a higher rating so cdrama fans sabotaging it was kinda pointless to me

like is the main lead the son of the mage, was he was conceived when the king borrowed the mage's body?

So far so good, the story is interesting, the acting is solid and the cgi is great too. I love chinese wuxia dramas but almost everytime the cgi sucks and that icks me. The only thing that i dislike so far is that it's kinda confusing for me.

it became reeeeeeally slow paced from the middle and towards the end, i had to watch it in 1.5 speed and it felt more like a chore rather than entertainment

it has nothing to do with the genre... this is the type of kdramas I'm into but so far the plot is everywhere, and i feel like they won't be able to give it a proper ending

But people here are writing comments saying stuff like "oh i can relate to Jiwoo I'm so shy and introverted I can't communicate well". Stop using that excuse, sometimes you really need to tell people what's on your mind, and not just run away. You need to face your problems
