How long does it take for the romance to pick up? I've been debating if i'm going to watch or not.
its pretty long....the 'real romance' takes place last few episodes. but despite that, i think the interactions between ML and FL was pretty good even b4 they are together for real. I think it will be good to give it a try. The drama is short anyways, and its really light and relaxing. I usually dont recommend to watch dramas with slow romance, but for this i really recommend! Just watch it with no exceptions or sorts and you will enjoy it.
This is the cutest and fluffiest drama ever !!! Although the romance is a little slow..but i just love that this drama is so light and relaxing. No big drama, no strong objections of any kind...very cute couples (even the sides) and visually stunning crew. The FL is so pretty that i wish there was more scenes of her in "girl action"!! The ML is so damn good looking!! EVen the side couples are so cuteeee... if you really want me to pick the bad things about it is the slow romance or rather i wished the story was more developed deeper (probably longer).
Firstly, my advice is dont watch it with the original full house in mind. except for the contract marriage concept, the storyline is almost totally different... Secondly, Im actually glad there is no toxic ML crush that comes ruining the relationship between ML and FL unlike the Korean one. Thirdly, the lack of romance is killing meeeee..urghh..but its ok, there are still cute moments thou. Fourth, the couple is pretty cute. Fifth, the friend is really toxic..i think this is the worst friend ever to sell her house but still stand Tall on her actions. Sixth, the side couples!! manager & tian ran's guy friend is actually really cuteeee xDD Seven, i really love the granny and mother and father..such a nice familyyy.. Lastly, the ending is actually quite satisfying becuz they got married and even showed a little tiny bit of after marriage life.
all i can say is lower down your expectations before you watch it. Firstly, it is totally a new story (Except for the zombie link with the first part) Secondly, there is not 'train to busan' only boats xDD LAstly, THE FEMALE ACTRESSes ARE SUPER BADASS! I really like the actress acting as Joon Yi..such a young talented actress. Hope she will go far in future. I enjoyed it but in terms of story, 1st one is better..but in terms of ending..the 2nd one is better.
i finally finished watching this drama...i basically watch 1 ep per day towards the end. Nothing really interesting about it..except for the parallel world thingy , storyline seems under-developed and its like bits and pieces everywhere. IT could have been a better drama..on a side note, LMH really needs to step out of his comfort zone, i think its time he does other types of roles, he cant always be filming the same kind of roles, its kinda getting boring and cliche. But really its jus my opinion (xD I hope LMH fans dont attack me xDDD)
Any recommendations? I like this kind of plot, but not constant fighting.

yes, as a general daughter she could have been more "strong" i guess. but overall its an ok drama and not totally unwatchable. you reminded me of it, i should check out Oops! the king is in love...i bookmarked it but haven had time to watch it xD

Im revisiting this drama as it was on my mind for days now while i was watching other historical dramas. What I like about this is the male lead is not "cruel/cold" like the one in scarlet heart. I really like the romance between the FL and ML and definitely much more 'modern' as compared to scarlet heart because SH was aired on mainstream channels. While this is aired as a webdrama (If you are a 'veteran' drama watcher like me, you would know webdrama can 'stretch' further) Anyways, you should watch this drama with an open mind . I was stuck with SH mindset but as I watch further I tried to get rid of SH as my background and it definitely becomes better.
On a side note, you guys need to watch 14th prince in his latest drama 'Mr Honesty' !! GOSH HE IS SO HANDSOME <333

I think its like will power. When he desperately wanna do something he can at the moment. But other times he cant because his will power is not strong enough. and in this case, it involves life and death, thus it happen.
Honestly, the FL is not as bad...i dunno why so many people hated her, trust me..i've seen worst. Overall ,the ending could have been better because it felt like they tie up the loose ends pretty rush. The drama started out good but went downhill...if the story was more developed it would be perfect. OVerall, you just need to have an open heart to watch this. this is more like a 'filler' kinda drama.

you really said it all!! I felt the whole Anna scenes were so unnecessary. They could have done a clean cut of anna's story like how the taiwan ver was instead of dragging it out with no meaning. and yes, i missed out, im actually glad they had a best friend for jiaxin here!!

Good thing: 1) The leads (their chemistry is no joke of cuz, and ive love them in the eternal love) 2) Grandmother: always so warm and kind hearted. 3) I like the change in the family (In this version we have the 'supposed mistress' turned into aunt instead) The good thing is the aunt and his son is less evil and they actually dote on FL for real and i like the part where the aunt chase anna away from the house. 4) The mother of FL, always so touching to see the mother-daughter relationship.
Bad thing: 1) The story: I really loved the original version(taiwan), but i always like to give a chance to other versions. trust me, ive watch all the versions even the Jap one (which i have no idea why they remake it anyways when the story wasnt even half thru and it ended) Also, story plot has changed to much, the gist is there but not there. Story line is all jumble up, the time for each event is all over the place. (Rant here, they spent too much time focusing on the first half of the story and some plot is just unnecessary), the 2nd half is too rush.
2) The 2nd leads (the brother and sister), the 2nd FL, she gotto be the most shameless amongst all the other version. The 2nd ML, not the most gracious or "nice nice" guy and towards the end, he ends up a little selfish.
3) The romance of the leads, like really, they have even lesser romance than in The eternal love. The whole story is just portraying their struggles and self denial and unwillingness to let go.
If you ask me is it worth, it depends on how open you are to remake dramas. Definitely not the worst kind of remake, you can still watch it like a normal drama. but dont expect too much. To me, after all the versions i've watched, it never ever beat the taiwan version.
