Definitely not! This is just the Thai version of Boys over flowers and here Bright is definitely gonna end up with the actress. It just won't happen that they will change the plot into a BL xD
OffGun are the cutest chaotic couple but their series is such an opposite, one of the most intense and serious one TT The whole series was really good and I think realistic too. Coz obviously there are many people like Third out there who keep getting used and bear with their one sided love alone, give their all but receive nothing! And I love how this changed me from wanting to beat the shit out of Khai to finally having a soft spot for him and loving him. For both, Khai and Third the character developments were amazing! Both of them worked on their shortcomings. Also I loved how Third didn't give in instantly when Khai confessed to him for the first time. He wanted Khai to change and gave more importance to his self dignity and peace which was the correct choice. And finallyy in the end they had a healthy relationship! And seriously Two and Bone are those kind of friends which are needed in everyone's life!!! Other characters were fun too. I cried so many times during the whole series like c'mon if Gun cries who can actually control their emotions, we all cry when he cries ;-; and also the one time Off cried, it was over for me, especially the Station scene!
I loved it and it'll definitely be in one of my favourite ones.
It’s really up to you if you enjoyed it or not, liked it or not. For me I liked the whole Tharntype thing <3 (not story or other things maybe) just MewGulf! Somehow this made me emotional that finally Tharntype is over! Idk when there’s gonna be another chance too see them together or their individual projects but like finally the whole Tharntype-MewGulf thing came to an end TT !! I’m surely gonna miss them soooo much. They’re always gonna be one of the best BL couples for me! I was contemplating a lot whether I should watch Tharntype or not but I’m glad I watched it came a long with the whole series. This might not be the best BL series out there but it’s definitely a remarkable one, a series which can get people hooked. Their chemistry is always gonna be on top for me <3 Ahhh finally! Tharntype missing hours : open TT
Okay I watched this just to find out what was the whole controversy about ... There were problematic things here and there but overall it was okay. 1) Type was really arrogant and always angry to the point I was like honey put some ice over your head ;-; I agree he had a tragic back story but it was not an excuse for him to be grumpy every second ! But glad he had some character development until the end and glad that they showed him getting over his homophobia and as I started to understand his character, till the end he became a lot better. I developed a soft spot for him in the end coz all I could see was cutie Gulf haha. 2) Tharn was way too soft for Type to bear with all the shit he used to say and do. Sometimes it felt like Tharn was just being a blind person in love who's not even caring about his self dignity. Also thank God, towards the end he too started to stand up and came up straightforward to Type "Do you even care about my feelings?" I agree in the first 2-3 episodes what Tharn used to do when Type was sleeping didn't seem correct, like if you have to teach a lesson or even take care of a sick person, it shouldn't be that way ;( those moments seemed problematic to me but after Type gave in and both of them did things with CONSENT, I felt okay. No doubt MewGulf's chemistry made me go insane ;) Their scenes are going to be some of the hottest in these BL dramas!! 3) Techno and Champ were really good at being Type's friends. Techno's funny blabberings were so cute and Champ being dumb and clueless was cute as well xD 4)One of the things that I liked the most was Tharn's family. It was way too perfect and flawless to seem real but that's what I loved, peaceful mature people. Even Type's mom was so nice. 5) I was so confused about if Tum liked his own brother Tar like anyhow it would've been incest and I completely disagreed with it!!! 6)Lhong had to be the nastiest and the worst person ever! I did not like how soft punishment he received! Like man literally called men to rape a minor?!! How could they let him go just like that?! Did they forget the cops?!? As much as I liked Type confronting Lhong and his sins, exposing him, I equally hated the fact they literally did not take him to the cops!!! 7) I didn't have much problem with the language used coz I was kinda expecting it seeing the rating tho, but I really hope minors don't sneak to watch this. This has 18+ rating for a reason. 8) I agree Tharntype' relationship may have seemed to be toxic at points, but it wasn't overly toxic, I think it was realistic. Everyone faces toxicity, jealous and stuff in their relationships, there's no exception to it, and they showed this aspect in their relationship too. And as per the background of the characters, the toxicity was bound to come, at least I was expecting it. Glad they showed a lil bit character development towards the end. 9) The second season has shown how their relationship developed and improved. There's nothing much to the story it's kinda draggy, just their love life and struggles to make it better, but yes if anyone wants to see them getting better at their relationship and some fiery chemistry scenes, can definitely watch it.
Overall it was 'pretty okay' series for me. I liked it. With every passing episode I felt hooked and was always left on being interested that what's gonna happen in the next episode?! It gradually interested me. Ps. The fact that I liked it is my own preference. I hope no one dares to call me out saying I have toxic fetishes and all that bullshit stuff! I won't tolerate it! Everyone is allowed to like any thing they want .
10/10 for me! Will definitely recommend if you're finding some calm yet intersting drama with some cute romance. This is such a mature, peaceful and realistic drama. Tbh I didn't expect much after the 1st ep with but 2nd episode onwards things kept getting intersting and there was no going back. All the characters were so likeable, they had some real development, it's like all I can say about this drama is that it was sooo realistic. It wasn't like those loud sugarcoated rom-coms with dramatic scenes and plot twists, I loved the simplicity of this drama. Few people might call this boring but it'll be only because of their failure to find beauty in simplicity. I loved everything about this drama, even the osts were so heart warming! Will definitely miss it! And I'm sure I'll find myself re-watching this is in near future.
In the last episode, when Dan Ah started to cry, I just couldn't hold my tears any longer and cried with her! Lee Yeong Hwa and Seo Dan Ah will be my forever fav second lead couple!!! Even their acting was mind blowing!!!
Which genius already rated it 6 without even knowing what's going to be in the drama? Like c'mon even the full cast isn't decided and that's just a summary of the story which can obviously deviate?! Why to rate it beforehand?!
I think if we look at this drama without comparing it with the webtoon or judt thinking that this an adaptation, then everyone can realise it that this is one of the best cliché drama. The actors did such a beautiful job, CEW and MGY improved so much, HIY - man is outstanding I don't even have to say anything, other actors too brought life to their characters. The story was cliché but they way they portrayed it, it couldn't have been better. Kudos to the production and direction team and the other crew. This is a perfect rom-com, which makes you feel all those butterflies, makes you laugh so hard with the perfect comic timing, and at times can make you cry like anything. A wholesale rom-com. If anyone who's unaware of the webtoon, watches this without any presumptions then that person will be actually satisfied. Second lead syndrome sure does exist in this drama but also you'll find yourself happy for the main couple. This was such a feel good drama, I enjoyed the whole journey that I had while this was on air, excitedly waiting for new episodes every week. I'm surely gonna miss it and also I'm sure that I'll be re-watching this in future <3 thanks true beauty for making my December , January and February <3
Now that this drama has ended, I hope y'all won't rate this drama low just because the ending didn't suit you :( This is a really enjoyable drama, the story isn't anything very unique but the actors and comdey and other aspects make this drama super interesting!
I think no one is gonna stress upon the fact that the second song which Seojun sang after Missing You clearly hinted that he is moving on for a bright future, if you notice the lyrics they are very positive. People are saying Seojun deserved more, yes he did, but was Jugyeong someone he deserved ? Someone who didn't love him back? No he didn't deserve her, and wouldn't it have been unfair for Jugyeong? THIS IS NOT RELATED TO WEBTOON, THIS IS PURELY ABOUT THE DRAMA. Seojun deserved more, and yes that was moving on! He deserved someone who loved him with the same energy as him! I won't deny the fact that till the very last scene when Jugyeong was putting lipstick on his lips, my heart continuously ached that why didn't they show him getting another nice girl! Why till very last moment they had to give us the heartache!!!
Idk why the ratings are dropping but this is a really light hearted and cute drama. Okay it's the remake of the Chinese version so there will always be comparisons but trust me this is not bad at all, this is a softer version of the Chinese version. And idk why people are calling the plot slow or draggy? Every scene is happening according to the episode numbers of the Chinese version. Ep 17 is the begging of their University life in the Chinese version and so it is going to be in this version too. Just some extra scenes are dialogs are being removed or else they are doing everything according to the Chinese version, even the dialogs, idk why exactly people are not liking this one? The only difference in this version is that the ML is a little bit soft hearted than the Chinese ML(and sorry to say but the Chinese ML was sometimes way too harsh that he literally seemed to be an undeserving jerk!), that's it, otherwise it's all same .
I think people are disliking this one just because of their Actor/Actress preferences.
This is actually enjoyable, I hope people will try to change their perspective about this version.
