I am the mother of an adult son who is Deaf. I am only halfway through Episode 1 and I am sobbing at the wonderful portrayal of the ML's D/deafness. It is rare indeed to see an honest depiction of being D/deaf. Even within the work setting the ML's D/deafness is honored. i hope this respect continues through the series. So far, so good to recommend to anyone with an interest in D/deafness.
Help please. Looking for the title of a similar drama. The little boy is sick, the mother will not tell the father about his paternity. There is a slide in the little boy's home. ANyone know what I am talking about? THanks.
The AI translation was pretty bad, but I enjoyed it. The fact that the episodes were generally 8-9 minutes long also made it more palatable. Sometimes those really short 4-5 minute episodes are way too fast.
I am really enjoying this show and I am up to Episode 9. I have a question for those who might know something about D/deafness in Japan. How prevalent are Cochlear Implants in Japan. Especially for those who are late deaf and had speech and hearing from a younger age. I have an adult son who has been deaf from about 2 years old. He is now in his 30s. He has refused to get a Cochlear Implant. Also, how prevalent is Sign Language in Japan?
Ordinarily I hate product placement in shows. But in this case Coke became another character. It just seemed right to see the ubiquitous soft drink repeatedly pop up.
This drama would have been very popular if it was aired in the recent years and got streamed on netflix in the…
I just finished re=watching this for the 3rd time Love it! I agree with almost everything your said. My only difference in opinion is the character development of Kang Se Ah. I found the character to be one of the most evil characters I have ever seen portrayed. Her cold attitude of doing WHATEVER it takes - even to the point of putting someone in danger- cannot be redeemed as quickly as it was here. I re-watched this after re-watching Introverted Boss and have decided that Heo Jung Min has phenomenal skills as an actor. The comparison between his roles in each of these shows leaves me with astonishment. Love BOTH dramas
I really liked this drama. In every episode I found a moment to laugh and to cry. I highly recommend it with one caveat - I found the last episode confusing and rushed to the point that the storyline wasn't making sense in terms of the characters. But with that one caution please enjoy. I did.
Episode 21 had me laughing out loud. when his mother pulled out his school certificates. I am enjoying this series. I have learned to just take the genre for what it is and not expect Shakespeare.
I was just rewatching Use For My Talent after I finished this and I think they used the same building for Enchant…
I also noticed that the Jiang home was also used as Ling Yizhou's home in Well Intended Love 2. I also recognized props like throw pillows. The director is the same man for both series.
