It was her return back to Korea from Corea that confirmed her feeling towards him as she kept reminiscing on their time together and started to long for him. The challenge is they can’t have time for sweet romance because Tae eul is really busy as a lieutenant with cases and overnight stake outs , she is not a regular 9/5 girl and she is very rough around the edges that’s why all her convos is straight to the point , even the ‘I love you’ was after a few questions and boom , she feels and acts like their tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, and can only enjoy the lee Gon for a brief moment like a dream.

There is so much going on in The king that I fear 16 episodes won’t be enough. Also, the romance began since episode 2, lee Gon was already like a boyfriend following her around and she didn’t chase him despite saying he was nuts , she paid for his food , took care of maximux, even allowing maximum a space in their lawn was great hospitality. He fixed her car , won her a key holder doll that she actually used, she even liked talking to him and only rolls her eyes when he goes all mathematics scientific philosophy on her. They actually spent enough time together before he whipped her to Corea and further blew her mind . She knew he loved her, she also knew there was no possibility of a future for them but she just wants to be brave just as how she told him she wanted to became a police officer.
Lee Gon’s choices for marriage were only limited to the prime minister and he was looking for more, and when he found himself in Korea and seeing Tae eul he knew it was fate .

Their romance was strong from episode two especially from the side of lee Gon, Tae eul was initially cold to him and also being a cop, but he actually wooed her and Che continued through episodes 2-4 and even though she was cold she still found herself looking and longing for him, plus his explanation of knowing her 25 years ago, she basically accepted her fate and longing for him and missing him as love.. it’s also wonder if those saying this didn’t see the
emotions displayed by both of them at the end of episode 6.

Too bad he wasn’t even considered for this role, and the drama was not even written with his name in mind.
Inserting his name in another drama shows you are scared of his being upstaged when they aren’t even in competition.
I like lee Jong suk in the roles he plays just as Lee min ho owns this kind of roles.
When he comes back from military he will also get a great drama for a comeback and needs everyone support too, so stop recruiting hate for him by dragging him into your mess..

Son ye Jin and Kim go eun are the only female actors that can pull off this role . Kim so hyun definitely not and Suzy can absolutely not!!
The drama is a masterpiece already and the world sees that and not the 2000 hate comments on dramalist by people who wish their idols were the ones in the high level production!!! Y’all are not even subtle about how you project your favorite idols and wishing they were considered for the role.
This was the exact narrative with Goblin and it’s now a drama every other drama fan makes reference to, their chemistry only built up towards the end.

Really like how the drama is moving so far with each dialogue cueing in the next scenes for easier understanding , and the revealing of the doppelgängers.

I am amazed at how distinct and different each of the dual characters they play are, the romance is so sad yet sweet because they don’t know if their love has a future given they are from two different worlds and I love how their eyes speaks volumes to each other, That’s excellent acting where you don’t need words to convey your emotions since their love is not the usual ‘ I can’t live without you kind of love’ because the reality is obvious., even the osts sound like they are parting ways

I want intense romance but I also don’t want it because I know it will overshadow the mystery unfolding and also make fans ignore other characters in the drama and focus too much on the leads

I have watched a lot of Korean and Asian drama in this genre and I am yet to see a story quite laid out like this one with the right , if you have seen any that is really good, please do let me know below.

Some of the negative reviews are so conclusive like the whole drama has ended . I can only assume lack of intelligence on the part of such viewers .
From episode 1 y’all complained about chemistry without even trying to understand the plot first, as a new viewer it was so annoying and distracting to see such stupid comments when I actually really like this drama along with a whole lot of people.
I also haven’t seen any serious complaint about the story only baseless criticism that makes no sense given that the plot hasn’t even deepened yet.
Drop the drama you don’t understand like NORMAL human beings and let those of us interested in this story enjoy it . This is why I hate excessive sense of ownership fans of Korean actors, most of you are toxic and crazily delusional and would sabotage actors work for selfish reasons. You would have made a lot more sense if this drama had reach episode 13 and you were still confused, but being unnecessary vocal is after 6 episodes can not make some of us think you all don’t understand the plot. I wonder if by you all still watch this drama when you can just drop it . This actually questions your sanity and intelligence as a viewer. I actually hate sky castle and world of the married , it’s too toxic for me as I can’t relate to need for such toxicity in anyone’s life. The plot of this drama is also predictable and I doesn’t allow me wonder unlike the king where I have many questions that I can’t wait to be answered in future episodes .
I dropped sky castle and world of the married and I didn’t write bad reviews so I won’t discourage interested viewers. Because we all have different tastes, people bringing down a show because they don’t understand the whole plot in 6 episodes is toxic when you can decide not to WATCH!!!
